I think Respite on the Spitalfields is by far the best song by Ghost (in my opinion). I just started playing piano and this video inspired me to start learning it. I really love your cover :)

@tedcrop For real! A beautiful melody, yet the lyrics are about Jack the Ripper. Only Tobias can take seemingly opposite idea streams, put them together and make it work this well. Genius.

"We will go softly into the night" is the exact opposite of a famous work's meaning, "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night" by Dylan Thomas One is about fighting until the bitter end, and fighting off Death itself. The other (Respite) is about giving up because of an unconquerable and inevitable power... Death. One is bravery, the other cowardice.
