In the 2nd movie, Zarathos took full control on the Rider and Blaze was suffering from it. He can't control it anymore. Zarathos was in control. Zarathos is corrupted and a demon who punishes every guilty. He used to protect the innocent. One time, he punished a guilty. That's why he was tormented in hell and became the demon and the spirit of vengeance who punishes every guilty. Blaze had problems to control the demon. Because, it's powers are limitless and boundless. His strength is unlimited. Way too powerful. No one can stop him. Probably the strongest version of The Rider. Rider was perfect in the 2nd movie. The script is the only bad thing this movie got screwed.

But I noticed why he wanted to commence and remove Zarathos from him, it's cause he was in control and Blaze was the one being tormented. I've read lots about the ghost rider and on a scale of how powerful and dangerous the demon is, he is classed as an Avengers level threat and above. The reason why they need a host is as a safety feature, with the host in control their powers and strength become limited doing less harm than they can. With the demon in control their powers and strength are unlimited allowing them to destroy nearly anything.

You're so wrong. If you were an actual classic ghost rider fan, you would know that Zarathos was a demon that was worshipped by many back in the day. Mephisto thought that Zarathos was becoming a threat, so he sent centurious, his pawn, to weaken Zarathos. Zarathos was too powerful to be completely under control of Mephisto so he was condemned to being a spirit of vengeance instead, sharing the bodies of God knows how many people, most notably Johnny Blaze. Yes, and a good reason for this. The rights of Ghost Rider reverted to Disney from Sony in May 2013, so he was working for separate companies. Ghost Rider was not part of the MCU in 2012, and after they reverted back, there were no plans for anymore Nick Cage's version of the character. Also, since Sony owns the copyrights to this version of the character, Disney cannot use Nicholas Cage's Johnny Blaze without violating copyright laws. Unless they buy those rights from Sony, they cannot ever use Nick Cage as Ghost Rider. So if Idris Elba's character Moreau as part of the MCU, he might not have played Heimdall, but because they were counted as separate unrelated productions, he got to play Heimdall as well.
