I read all the comments and it seems very few people knew what it means...be more careful, guys, and pay attention to the lyrics and their meaning: they have absolutely nothing in common with cowboys...and I love westerns but this is a song about "ghosts riders in the sky ". Try to find the religious connections...Johnny Cash was a religious man, with all his sins, learn about him and you'll see maybe a little different the meaning of some of his most loved songs. Sorry about the speech but, although I am a convinced atheist I know pretty well the bible and the life of Johnny Cash...
