Yup. I understand that it's because these tracks are already on Ceremony and Devotion. But come on these sound way better and deserve to be added to the rest of the soundtrack.

@@themadgamer4571 I assumed that was the case too. Although Cirice and Square Hammer were on C&D too! Like TheAlbumGuy commented below, I wonder if it’s also to fit on the CD. Though C&D also had weird track lists… the vinyl and accompanying digital code came with Elizabeth and Secular Haze, which were not in the other digital platforms. But maybe those were tied to rights issues? I have no idea, I can consider this all night... Thankfully, what is there in RHRN is awesome!

​@@cristianotalora6502 I'm not really sure about that speculation, if that were the case the songs wouldn't have even appeared in the movie at all and Tobias would've had talked about it or hint it on an interview. Also it doesn't make a lot of sense considering that Mummy Dust and He Is were also cut from the album (which are songs that are not about satanic themes, at least not explicitly) and kept Kiss The Go-Goat (a song that directly mentions Satan, Lucifer and the Shameful Kiss). It makes more sense to think that they were cut so the album could fit on one CD, I'm pretty sure that in the future they could release an exclusive/collector version of the album with He Is, Year Zero, Con Clavi Con Dio, Ritual and Mummy Dust on a special vinyl/CD (similar to what they did in Ceremony and Devotion's limited edition vinyl that had Elizabeth and Secular Haze, songs that weren't on the album's digital release).

@@cristianotalora6502 Ghost is not the type of band to just gatekeep songs, but what they DO like is to release limited edition of their records to release exclusive songs that aren't anywhere else (Zenith, La Mantra Mori, Avalanche, It's A Sin, etc). I'm pretty sure they could AND would do something like that with the cut RHRN songs in the future

I believe the heaviest songs were left out because he wants to leave the rock behind and focus on the pop music he has been doing these last years... Could also be because these songs were made with the actual band he fired (when Ghost used to be an actual rock band with members) and he hasn't fully earned the rights for them after the lawsuit.

It doesn't make a lot of sense either that he cut the songs he made with the lawsuit ghouls because if that were the case, the songs wouldn't have even appeared in the movie nor the concert at all (also because that both Absolution and Cirice are also in the soundtrack list, songs that were made when he still was working with the lawsuit ghouls). Ghost has always been Tobias' project and only HIS project, all of the songs were mainly written by him and it was never a ""band"" on the first place. It's more likely that he cut some songs that were already on Ceremony and Devotion (the other live album Ghost has) so the album could be 90 minutes long and fit in only one CD

@@astry25 I mean, that is what Tobias claims. But there is a lawsuit because he hasn't been able to fully prove everything he claims. For a first generation fan, I have seen Ghost's musical change and you can totally tell after listening to the first three albums next to what came afterwards that it is not the same music. If you listened to the other Nameless Ghouls projects you would hear in plain sight the musical influences they added to the band and its compositions. I just analyze the objective facts without my fanboy blindfold on me and Ghost used to play a dark doom rock similar to what Mercyful Fate or Alice Cooper use to do. Now it is everything but that. Which is not bad at all. I still like it and love it, but objectively, Ghost changed dramatically from the musical composition perspective ever since the lawsuit and the departure of the original Ghouls. If he holds the rights or not, wouldn't change the fact that he is clearly setting apart from what Ghost used to be focusing on what he is trying to do now which is a soft pop rock. Compare Con Clavi next to Mary On a Cros, Year Zero (which is not his) to Dance Macabre or From the Pinnacle next to Spillways... It is okay if he choses to do soft pop rock. I like it. But Ghost used to do dark/doom rock and in Meliora it got closer to a mild classic metal. After Square Hammer (lawsuit) it has been just but poppy and repetitive songs. Which is fine! xD

@@alejandrocovacevich6701 Of course Ghost has changed over the pass of the years, but they have never sticked into one genre, they have never been a full pop rock band, nor a full doom metal band, nor have sticked to any rock/metal genre. Of course I can't compare Con Clavi Con Dio with Mary On A Cross because one was made in 2010 and the other in 2019, *nine* years later. They have different inspirations, different kind of purpose, different meaning and lyrics. But I don't see what the lawsuit has to do with the change, maybe their songs sound different but it's because it's been almost a decade and a half since the first album came out and Tobias likes to try new things with the music that HE HIMSELF writes (of course he doesn't do this all alone, but the project has been his since day one, he won the lawsuit for a reason lol). Also it's not like they only do pop dance songs now, they have other ""newer"" songs that don't stick to that (Faith, Call Me Little Sunshine, Rats, Hunter's moon, etc). Also, this doesn't disproves my point, if Tobias didn't wanted to include songs he made with the old lineup before the lawsuit in the soundtrack, he wouldn't included them in the movie mor the concert setlist at all, nor he wouldn't have included Cirice and Absolution in the soundtrack since they are songs from an album he did before the lawsuit. I don't understand what does this has to do with the lawsuit at all. Or maybe I am the dumb one here idk. I honestly don't want to get on a argument with you since I don't like being in discussions, and I can get on some point why you think Tobias cut off the songs from the soundtrack, I just have a different point of view and that's perfectly fine. 🍩
