Ghost sight or Peep sight Dove tail mounted

A video where I change out the traditional rear / ladder sight for a Skinner Peep / Ghost sight. The change is in order to better see a clear sight picture for aging eyes.

In order to see the front sight I removed peep, kept the ghost ring. In this condition I am able to see a clear front sight..!

Did you add a different front sight or did the factory sight run well with the peep sight addition? Thank you sir for this great video.

I’ve got Skinner peeps on all my lever guns, they’re WAY easier for my eyes to get a good picture. Even the Rossi 92, which the peep mounts where the buckhorns were on the barrel is fast and easy to acquire a picture. I was a little worried about it being so far forward, it turned out to be a non issue entirely.

On your Rossi R92, did you have to put a taller front sight on it after the peep was installed?
