Early Hardstyle was formed in 1998 slowing down Early Hardcore and combining it with Early Hard Trance elements. So, if someone now, is using trancy elements in a Hardstyle track, it's still Hardstyle. "He's doing trance but with a Hardstyle kick", mh, yep, that's still Hardstyle. Even 5 Centimeters Per Second by Star Driver, a masterpiece, it's Hardstyle but still use elements from old Anthem Trance like arpeggios.
