What if becoming a ghost is like the process of fossilization? The subject being preserved needs VERY rare, VERY specific conditions to not decompose over millions of years (or the soul/consciousness to go wherever it goes after death). Like we see certain dinosaur fossils much more often than others simply because of the type of environment they lived in or what they ate, etc., certain types of people might be more likely to become ghosts. This seems to be what we observe in ghosts: only certain types of homes seem too be haunted or certain types of people have spirits attached to them. And if certain types of people have the ability to see or sense ghosts then that also explains why the same people have experiences with these entities. If ghosts are a quantum preservation of the electrical signals of our whole life that lives on (every memory, emotion, action, and sensation you've ever experienced is an electrical signal being sent somewhere through your body), then maybe ghosts really are us. But if souls were a type of energy that is attracted to a place in the universe or a higher dimension then that explains why the trillions of people who have died over tens of thousands of years aren't swarming the earth AND a possible "Heaven". (People ascending tunnels of light is similar to how scientists explain how we would see light if we traveled at the speed of light, interestingly. So are souls traveling at the speed of light towards some destination in the universe?) Just like how electricity is attracted to areas of a circuit to be drawn and used, the energy that is our souls is drawn to a higher plane of existence. BUT if that attraction is stronger to things on earth (like a house, an heirloom, or even a person) then it makes sense that the energy will stay within the area that has the strongest attraction, which would be to stay on earth. Maybe we don't see cavemen ghosts because the existence of ghosts was only made to be possible after people become more spiritually oriented when religion was invented (thought to be around 5000 BC), becoming CAPABLE of being attached to something on earth more than their complete and utter focus on survival every minute of every day. Once they died, they had no "homes" to haunt or spiritually sensitive people to contact once they became ghosts. Who knows, maybe the immense amounts of energy flowing through us all from WiFi, radio, satellites, etc., has affected humans' ability to sense ghosts, giving us the ability to have our hackles raise for seemingly no reason. It's been proven that large electrical fields have an impact on humans (there are even real estate laws in some states that say you HAVE to disclose any large electrical fields nearby, like a power station nearby or a transformer outside the house, because some people are VERY sensitive to being pumped with too powerful of an EMF around them, just like some people are VERY sensitive to these entities.) Just my thoughts of how ghosts could exist naturally. (Besides, who are we to call something natural or supernatural when there is sooo much knowledge in the universe still to be explored?)

You're kinda off bro, souls are us. The light leads to reincarnation, ghosts are people who couldn't let go or settled in denser parts of the astral. To win this game we have to get back to the source.
@LilTechCricket
@LilTechCricket 6 жыл бұрын
Loner Link Don't get me wrong, I believe in reincarnation as well. I believe (keyword is believe) souls are still very much conscious after death when that universal attraction takes them away from earth. Since they still have a consciousness, they are capable of making choices. Those kinds of choices after death could include anything from choosing to return to a corporeal form (on ANY planet in the universe, since I believe we are not alone in the sheer massiveness of our universe and whether we've been visited or not is REALLY the debate we're having nowadays) to simply staying in "Heaven" (or whatever you'd like to call the higher dimension we might ascend towards) until you choose to become corporeal again somewhere in the universe. Dimensions, multiverses, quantum mechanics, particle physics, theoretical physics, and time theories are all very complicated subjects, but I urge people to learn about those higher physics because I see the work of intelligent design in the universe through science MUCH more so than I do any religious texts (although some things like "Let there be light" are fascinating because it insinuates time existed BEFORE the beginning of OUR universe, meaning String Theory and therefore Multiverse Theory could be correct). But I digress. Reincarnation is most definitely a possibility if souls retain consciousness after death, which I believe they do from near-death experiences describing having knowledge of what doctors were doing to them when they died on the operating table or just generally what was happening around their bodies after they died but before they could be taken away by the universal attraction I call "Heaven" (I'm trying to find a more appropriate term, but Heaven is something you ascend towards after death so I'll use that until I find a more accurate term. If you have any suggestions from your own theories, assuming you believe in a sort of phase between death and reincarnation, I'd love to hear them.) But I did say "ghosts are us" (which also means souls are us, like you said) because I believe ghosts are the souls of people who have had a stronger attraction to something or someone on earth than they do wherever souls are naturally attracted to go towards, which is why we don't have trillions of ghosts roaming the earth and haunting every home, person, and piece of land on earth. So I think we're in agreement that ghosts are souls and souls are our continued consciousness, which means ghosts AND souls are both us.

I've heard that theory before, and I find it kinda boring and humanocentric. Like, because our science and understanding of physics to this day are really archaic (we were still throwing spears at each other 500 years ago), no species in our unconcievably large universe would be able to scientifically find a way to travel to Earth ? It has to be us ? What if the law of relarivity wasn't absolute ?

About the animal ghosts... You'll call me crazy, but here it goes. After my mom's cat died (when she was a teenager), both her and her father swear they saw her sitting on the windowsill (like she used to do) a few times. Supposedly, each time she was looking at them and then she would run away/ jump off. I was very sceptical about it, even though it gave me shivers, but then my cat died... I swear, I saw him twice. After he died. Once, I woke up at night, feeling something laying on the bed where my cat used to sleep. I sat down on the bed, still in the darkness, and I saw him. He was looking at me, I was shocked, so I moved and he jumped off the bed. Sure, I could have been half-asleep, still dreaming. But it felt so real. I turned the lights on and looked around the room, and there was nothing.

We put our cat Jack down for health reasons and a couple of months after we put him down, my mom was sleeping and she woke up and told me to join her in bed because she felt a cat pacing back and forth at the foot of her bed. So I laid there for a couple of minutes and eventually I felt a cat walking on my feet. I don't know if it was exactly Jack but I can only assume it was Jack.

the reason why it's always the same people that see ghosts is because people who have these paranormal experiences will automatically think 'ghost' and talk about it whereas if someone didn't believe in ghosts they would find another explanation, so they find no reason to draw attention to it.

Some people are a lot more open to the spiritual world than others. If you say you don't believe you will most likely never encounter spirits because you have closed your mind to them. If you have an open mind you can communicate more easily but even then its difficult. A lot of people think they have paranormal experiences but don't, and their circumstance can be explained simply.

I feel like it's kinda ignorant to think that aliens wouldn't go exploring just because it'd take so long to do it, we don't even know everything about the earth yet, to think that a lifeform that could be so much more intelligent than us couldn't do something just because our extremely limited knowledge of space travel makes it seem like it wouldn't make sense is ridiculous. The difference in DNA from monkeys and us is 1%, so imagine the intellectual possibility of a lifeform with completely different genetic material.

I believe in mermaids Before I went to Zimbabwe I had heard that a lot of the people believe in mermaids or water spirits as they call them. So I went to Zimbabwe and I didn’t ask them about it because I thought they would think I’m crazy. Then I went to a local market where the locals sold tree figures and there were figures of lions, elephants and leopards but the only tree figure that was out of the ordinary was the figures of mermaids. Now this was a place where there were not that many tourist I’m not even sure if they had WiFi so I’m wondering if they had seen these water spirits. Then when I went back to the lodge I asked a guide if he knew about the mermaids and he said that he had heard about them. He even told that in a gokwe wich is a town in Zimbabwe a group of construction workers didn’t want to work at a new bridge they were building because they said that evil mermaids were terrorising them. What makes that story even more bizarre is that 90 % of Zimbabweans are unemployed. So Why would the construction workers want to almost quit there jobs. That must mean they have seen something.
@arasian4607
@arasian4607 6 жыл бұрын
lovell Coffee I don’t think there’s any proof but consider that 95 % of the ocean hasn’t been explored yet. So there could be a chance that mermaids live in the water I mostly believe it because the people I talked to in Zimbabwe had no reason to lie. I was the one that asked them and they seemed very genuine

Pokekrusher 89 the people I talked to in Zimbabwe said they looked like monsters. Most of the Zimbabweans believe that mermaids or whatever you want to call them are evil spirits. I read about a case where a boy was dragged down in the water in Zimbabwe and killed the people believed it was a mermaid and many said they saw it. But it could have been a crocodile or a hippopotamus

If these so called "mermaids" are coming up close to the surface then you would expect some sort of evidence of them, pictures, a corpse, anything. Even if there was a humanoid like creature living in the Oceans they would not have hair or fingers because those are not beneficial to underwater life so they would not resemble the common image of a mermaid.

Just gonna say, my mom, my sister and I have all seen the ghost of a black cat in our house and didn’t know we were all mutually seeing it till one of us brought it up and we all freaked out. We don’t own a black cat, but we used to. It’s passed away. And there are many reports of people seeing the ghosts of animals so I don’t think the “why don’t we see ghosts of animals” is an argument.

I remember going to crystal lake with my family and me and my brother departed because we liked to chase the river and go on an “adventure”. Five minutes in we get a ringing in our ear, I was about nine and the ringing was so loud that I can feel the sound come in and out through my ear lobe. I remember falling onto my butt and covering my ears. My brother turns around and picks me up and then the ringing stops. Now we are looking into the river pool. In a split second a bright object shoots up from the water and goes to the air very fast. I saw it go up and up, in an abnormally way. Leaving no smoke, no fire, and no sound of an engine. I was just really bright (like LED) and big. It was shaped like a thick eggshape.

Sounds like Djinn. I was told that they’re thousands of years older than us humans. They have their world, we have ours. They come in all forms and sizes. They are shape shifters. Evil Djinns live in the sewers, and dirty places. They’re like us in a sense when it comes to life. They have their own beliefs, whether it would be being a Muslim, a Jew, a Christian, an Atheist- etc- Their technology is way more advanced than our own. Where do you think a lot of writers and directors get their ideas from? These “other planets”- these “aliens”- and they give them specific look, and characteristics. This is just my opinion, and according to the many Muslims I have spoken too- a long with research. It’s in plain sight, to be honest. I have a friend who sees them- and she thought it was completely normal as a child. She sees things, like if someone is cursed by “black magic” etc. I asked her what they look like- and she said they come in all shapes and sizes... And she told me a terrifying story about when she went to tuck in her siblings in their beds. One of them walked right in front of her the second she entered the room. And she stood paralysed for a second- but she had to play it as if she saw nothing, so she wouldn’t freak out her siblings. And when she was at their bed-side, one of the Djinns started pushing her face to the side, and she tried to ignore it. She couldn’t give me an actual visualisation. She said they looked super creepy and weird. Also- there’s another story. My grandfather was at the graveyard when he was younger, and it was during the time of “sunset”. Or over there it would be called, “Maghreb”- a time of prayer, when the sun sets. Suddenly, a body, wrapped up in a white sheet jumped in front of him. No matter where he ran, it jumped directly in front of him. He found a place to hide, and started reciting until the creature disappeared. Bear in mind, this was in Algeria. Muslims get buried in only white cloth- and this means that everyone is equal. No one is buried “poor”, or “rich”. And the same friend who told me she sees these “Djinn”, or whatever you’d like to call them.. mentioned these creatures that appear in graveyards in Malaysia ( her country ). I got so freaked out, and told her about my grandfather’s story. They’re known as “Pocong” over in Malaysia. You’ll see images of them on google. But they’re not the real thing in google images, of course. Still very creepy, tho’. My friend stated that this sort of thing happens to the bodies of those who meddled with Black Magic. ._. ......

I have a ghost story too. When my grandma was young she used to go out with hwr friends to clean the streets (we live in maldives so the streets are just sand and the population is max 8'000 per island) and its dark during the night . so one day she went cleaning and started brushing the leaves on the street to the side and she saw a metal platex she took it and threw it into a bush nearby . thats when it all went wrong , she accidentally killed some babies of a jinn nearby so the jinn wanted revenge and took over her body from time to time , high fever everytime, stronger than 10 grown men , the jinn eventually let her go in exchange of her hearing ability. She's 83 this year to this day she cant hear anything

"Why don't we see the ghosts of animals? Why do we see the ghosts of specific people?" We don't see the ghosts of specific people. Encounters like these are extremely rare and most of the time the ghost is someone random unless the ghost wants to mess with us (or help/advise us). In that case he/she would take the form of a relative or someone we know. Not seeing the ghosts of animals has nothing to do with the truth that animals don't have souls because ghosts aren't the souls of the dead. The ghosts were created before humans existed and they're more in numbers. We don't see them normally because they aren't supposed to interfere with our free will and lives (but they extremely rarely do, even if by mistake or by intent). And they most certainly don't look like four legged animals.

"Why are there no animal ghosts?" I would say this is a great question, and my hopefully equal answer is "Karma, and soul evolution." It's my anecdotal belief that the whole reason we even have "animal spirits" is because they're pure, and self-actualized. They're epitomes, not of themselves, but of the energies they represent. Therefore, they have no soul path other than to be inspiration for ours, and when they die, they ascend, or reincarnate.

I feel like the reason we only see ghosts of humans and from certain eras is because theres a certain level of sentience necessary for it to happen. That's just sleep paralysis. Yes it's scary but if done correctly or if you have the proper mindset to ride it out, it can be a wonderful experience. I don't know what's up with the whole demon sitting on your chest thing, people are being scared away from a wonderful experience. It's all about mindset at that time, if you calm down you'll be granted the ability to somewhat steer the direction of your dreams. If you freak out, you're gonna have a bad time x100 simple as that.

One of the main pluses of social media like facebook and youtube is that people are connected all around the world and it goes back to what vsauce said here that there is so much to learn. Like for example here he said why are there no animal ghosts yet hundreds of comments on here beg to differ. It just reminds us that there is so much to discover and that the world and the universe is so vast that we don't and won't know everything with our limited capacity to understand and also, our limited lifespan.

I once saw the ghost of my old dog. I was 10 or 11 at the time and hanging around my swingset and I looked to my right and saw a black lab bounding toward me, only 5 feet away and then I blinked and she was gone. No one else around us owned a black dog

When i was around 15, i saw a rabbit in my house, it was about 10 feet away. I thought it was my pet rabbit but it didn't have the right markings. Then it hopped behind our piano, i followed it and it was nowhere to be found. That room had no way for a rabbit to enter or escape and my rabbit was still in its cage. I thought i was seeing things but my brother said he saw it too. Ghost bunny haunted my house. One night my brother heard a massive dog claw at our closed bedroom door and when we checked it out, there wasn't any claw marks but the door had been opened.

I was probably 16 walking to the car after my sisters dance recital and the location we were at was dark enough to see a huge amount of stars so I was looking up and admiring. Me and my dad noticed two orbs, which looked like stars, circling around each other slowly and then broke off in different directions and disappeared. I would love to know what that was.... I also have a poltergeist story that I can't describe... involving doors opening, plates and cups moving, footstep sounds in front of my eyes, lights turning on and off and a residual fog appearing on the mirror before my eyes. I'll never forget that night.

Ethan’s talking about quantum entanglement at the end, it has been demonstrated that one particle entangled to another can instantaneously effect the other, at any distance. The concept has also allowed for albeit very tiny amounts of matter to be teleported from one place to another faster than the speed of light, if this could be figured out to be done for things of any size... all you’d need to do would be to fly there first, after that travel would be instant
@sisu9663
@sisu9663 5 жыл бұрын
Quantum teleportation does not work on matter, as it is not possible for anything with mass to travel faster than light. Quantum teleportation describes the transportation of quantum information (a qubit) faster than light, but not matter. It is also not possible to communicate faster than light using quantum entanglement. This is complicated but basically there is no way for both parties to know when a signal is being sent without conventional (slower than light) communication.

I dont believe in ghosts. But his "why dont people see animal ghosts?" is flawed. Because first. Animal ghosts are definitly a thing people claim to see. And if something falls off a shelf. Why does he assume thats a person? Why not a cat? Besides. Even if the premise of his qeustion is true. Doesnt he think that it maybe has to do with a humans brain power? Maybe a creature with complex thoughts is only able to become spirits. Having said all that though. I still think believing in ghosts in general is idiotic, as there has never ever been evidence or proof of their existence. It's like everybody is believing in unicorns, just because unicorns are talked about in old stories. Then someone sees a blur of a horse (or even a dog). Then they say "a unicorn!". You would rightfully believe that person has logic problems. Yet this is the stuff we expect of believers in ghosts.

I have a pretty good ghost story. In 2016 when I was sleeping in my bed and I have insomnia so it was close to 2.45am. I was trying to get to sleep when my bed rapidly started shaking and moving side to side very aggressively. I hid under my bed covers and fell asleep about 20minutes after the event. I woke up in the afternoon screaming upright out of my bed, for I had a nightmare. I checked the earthquake reports for my area but there weren’t any. 6 months later I had the same experience except the nightmare wasn’t as bad. I met up with my dad and casually told him about it and he told me the exact same thing happened to him around the same time it happened to me.
