This song reminds me of my fallen comrades who didn't make it home. I think of their spouses and how empty their lives became in that moment. I wish I could make their lives whole again, war is a place no one wants to be, but many of us are. For all those I served with, and their families , know this; they were the best people I ever met and had the pleasure of serving and working with. those who didn't make it home gave their lives without fear with the greatest of honor and dignity any man or woman could ever display. I wish I could have taken the place of many of them so they could be with their families today

What a beautiful expression of the camaraderie among those who serve in war. I remember talking for hours with a Viet Nam vet who expressed the same thoughts of concern for his troops. War is the worst expression of the human condition and I hope one day we will no long send good people off to wars. Yet, in the hell you must experience, beautiful, unbreakable bonds of oneness are forged between those who serve together. I remember watching the movie Ghost and its sad when Sam dies, but I wasn't crying about it like I am here! This is how you adapt movies/books into musicals, you use music to your favor to express something you couldn't express in its original medium, music favors this story and brings much more meaning to the character's emotional journey. She fought her battle with cancer, with the heart of 100 lions and the strength of a thousand armies, five long years. Without a doubt she is the strongest person I've known and loved life more than any person alive! She had the most beautiful soul and shined her bright light into many lives changing them forever. She is my soul mate and I am forever lost. My life will never be the same without her,. My days are full of emptiness, my nights are full of tears. No sleep, just thoughts of our dreams we had, our future we had planned, conversations left unfinished. She took with her the biggest part of me, the best part of me. I miss you my Pooh!
