I dont understand why everyone keeps complaining about their new music. Its great. Sure I love all the old songs just as much if not more but some of my favorites are some of the more recent ones. If they change, they change so what? Things change with time and their music still great so why should it matter?

if there's one thing I dislike about band fandoms it's the ones noting down how the band has changed, often times for the worst. music changes, bands adapt to that. so instead of splitting up the fandom in factions just remember this; we are all fans of Ghost Town, so does it really matter if we just discovered them yesterday or when they first started?

Roar I don't see the problem with noting the new styles of bands. Every musician needs feedback and not every listener likes changes in music. Sure the band makes what they want/like but it can also be disappointing to see one of you favorite bands make music you don't enjoy anymore.

Honestly, if people don't like Ghost Town's new music, they can just listen to their old music. And if people don't like their old music, they can just listen to the new tunes. No one has to be solely devoted to a band. My dad always goes on about how Black Sabbath rocked until after Dio and I'm just like, "So just listen to the stuff with Dio????". That's how I feel. (Though to be honest I am pretty happy with the old and new Ghost Town music alike so)

I have been around since the very beginning, enough to see every change Ghost Town went through, and here is my stance. If they hadn't changed at all, I would've gotten bored. But they do subtle changes. This new stuff reminds me of the Ghost Town I originally got into in 2012 and 2013. I can really appreciate it, and it makes me happy. There isn't one song I haven't liked.

Personally, I do still see elements of the old Ghost Town. But as musicians they like to change and grow. Sure, a lot of the old fans may not like they're new sound but maybe they have to be willing to open up they're music tastes a little more. Even if they don't, it doesn't mean that Ghost Town isn't still good. I've been in love with this band for years and I love they're new style. You just have to accept these things sometimes.

I would hardly consider their earlier stuff to be, "Creepy" but fair enough... If they kept those in for every song, then everything would be the same. It is just lazy to do that in every song. Musicians go through phases of using certain techniques and then they change, that is normal and shouldn't be discouraged. The reality is they make music for themselves first, so they do what they want to do and hope their current fans will like it, if not, someone else will take their place. If you want the old stuff, listen to the old stuff. They shouldn't feel pressured to just regurgitate old sounds into new songs.
