Ghost Towns and More | Episode 55 | Contact, Nevada

Sometimes there are stories about ghost towns where someone who lived there made a difference for good in the lives of others. This town is one such place amid it's colorful histories.

I went to school there in the 60's. We lived in Jackpot and rode a bus to Contact. There were two teachers in the two room school, Mr. and Mrs. Rogers I believe. Coal stove for heat, outhouses for boys and girls. After a couple years a new school was built in Jackpot. One of the teachers there was Mr. Hansen. Great memories.

The history that you found about the teacher shows how caring she was way behond a school teacher 🏆But as you showed the Judge was a different story but he just sold the merchandise that sound ed about right 🤔and your town history was awesome thank you p.s. Love those photos .

It's a old world building/ruins from prior reset that was mudflooded. The majority of the structure is buried underground...we just repurpose the top part which is why you see old world structures in the downtown areas that have windows half in the ground and brick buildings that look like they are slanted instead of level. Half the building in underneath so they added ramps or steps that were not original to the building so that we could use them. Look closely at the old town buildings casting aside the narrative of all these buildings being built in a short period of time in the 1800's using only a horse and buggy to haul all the materials and without power tools....recalibrate and use your eyes and critical thinking skills...ask God to revel the truth.
