A recreation of the lost Ross to Monmouth line. A scenic route - winding its way through Symonds Yat alongside the river before crossing into Wales near Monmouth. Feel free to subscribe and check out other lost lines!

A fantastic video. It was criminal the way that the railway network was destroyed. What I would give to take that journey.

Thank you for making this video, I remember the final view looking down on Monmouth Troy from my childhood, you certainly brought back some memories.

I just wonder why this and the Ross-Hereford line could not live again as cycke tracks: esay gradients, easy ride for all.

Much of it is still passable on cycles. Some parts go through private property and the river bridges no longer exist, but I have ridden the section from Monmouth to Symonds Yat, and bypassing the blocked up tunnel, the section from the other end of the tunnel to Drybrook and some parts on the outskirts of Ross-on-Wye.

nice idea, watched a few but feel you could easily do better -for examaple buy/ borrow models of carriages and especially engines likely or known to have been used on each line featured rather than clips of american style locos etc

This is an earlier video. I am looking into animated 3d models of locos for future videos / rereleasing some of these projects
