I love the engineer. He's so used to ghostly stuff that a long-dead engineer seizing control of his train and flashing between human and a skeleton with red eyes just doesn't phase him. His looks just screams, "I don't have time for your ooga-booga crap, ghost boy. I got a train to drive."
@creaturefeaturecosplay5 жыл бұрын
Yes! He's dedicated to his job and not about to let some dead guy get in the way. I'm so glad the side characters are getting some love !

this is SO good like how people like you can create stuff like this and not big film companies, and as a steam enthusiast I also love all the attention to detail from the loco to the train itself, hell if I were an interviewer for a big film corporation and needed a resume this would do.
@creaturefeaturecosplay Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I really wanted to make sure I got the train and locomotive right, so I took some trips to Colorado and New Mexico to take photos, record sound and video, and I even got to ask the engineers and firemen all the questions I had. It was a great time and I'm glad it shows in the finished film.
@QLDrailfan798 Жыл бұрын
well, it definitely does and considering how good this is, I think you should make a remastered version of this but I'm not saying you need to of course but I reckon it might be worth it, but hey, do whatever you want I'm just some random railfan who enjoys seeing old steam engines.

Very nice, Mrs. Corcoran. Very nice indeed. I once had the privilege to meet an actual ghostly train. Not one, but two, in fact. Clinchfield 311 (yes, THAT Clinchfield 311) and the Miner's Silver Ghost. About the former... don't always believe what you see, read or hear. Especially here on YT. Three-Eleven has a warm heart. She's no demon - she's an angel. And she'll go to any lengths to prove it. Her "demonic" past, those trains she wrecked? A case of "wrong place, wrong time". Today, she saves lives. She's still around, and checks in on me from time to time. So too does the MSG. As for this story, I really hope to see that sequel you've been talking about here, eventually.

You're right, actually. The models are paper, but they stand up in space in a 3D (also paper) set, and it's shot frame-by-frame, which is stop-motion.

@pennyfarthing1893 Ah, cool technique! I really like the added depth created by the scenery and shadows, along with the cutout figures. (Loved the "Date With Death" animation, too.)

@bolexcollector Thanks! I glued the front and back papers of the posters onto a sheet of aluminum foil in between, so it was bendable and would hold still for the animation.

Thank you! I am planning on continuing the story, but the form will most likely not be this style of animation, since I don't have room to build all the sets and figures. I might do some short animation bits since I do still have the character models, but a comic will be how most of the story gets told.
