Ghostbusters 2 Proton Pack Replica

Built from mostly GBFans parts. A FreekyGeeky wand and pop-mech, a few EJGunth parts, real resistors, with PropForge lights in the pack itself, customized GBFans lights in the wand, MacksFactory labels and decals, and on top of this several custom mixed sound effects specific to Ghostbusters 2.
All assembly, customization, and finishing done by me.

Nice work dude! We're still trying to source the ribbon for GB1 (yea, I know it's not made any more and probably never was. I come from that era and I've never seen one over in Europe in anything. It could be a US thing - but it could just be the prop shop made a bespoke one.) Our research shows there are discrepancies between the Ramis "wand" and the hero wand in the movie. Nothing major but a real PITA when deciding which one to use!

All GB1 cables must be custom-made. There is no one producing them right now since Charles Fincher's shop caught fire, and Mack's Factory is must be a cruel joke since they've had zero updates to their site in almost a year. Abd don't bother replicating anything besides the hero props unless you are really going for that niche replica status.

@@kind2311 Hadn't heard about that dude. That totally sucks. The young lad that's *(supposed) to be making this with me wants to make it as accurate as possible. The best solution I've come up with to date - and it does kinda work - is to print the individual strands in PLA (although a flexible might be better) and then using paint to add the extra stripe. It's far from perfect as you might imagine. Low modus sanitary silicone seems to be the best product to protect the "loom" and make it look like the real thing, but as I've said, far from ideal. I'll keep trying.

Of this quality? You can't. Packs like these take months if not years to make and cost thousands of dollars. But there are cheaper alternatives such as spirit halloween, rubies etc. But those are plastic toys and are extremely inaccurate and cheap. But they are perfect for kids. The pack in this video isn't a toy.

What type of black and what brand of paint did you use for the main color? Everything looks spot-on. Proper screws, proper positioning of accessories and labels, accurate weathering and finish. An excellent replica that looks like a proper piece of working equipment and not a shiny toy like so many replicas unfortunately do. I have a gun body from Freeky Geeky that I doubt I'll ever get to see completed since he has stopped responding to messages.
