It's easy to forget that the actors don't get to see the final product until roughly the same time as us - the editing and SFX don't happen until long after they "clock out" and their part of the production is finished. Their reactions to seeing the fruits of their hard work for the first time like this is extra special for that reason.

Literally the dream of every kid who loves something lol. I love how she (and the rest of the kids too) seems to be genuinely excited and grateful to be a part of this movie. @@Dargonhuman Well yeah. They film and the only thing they see is a guy holding up a stick with a picture of Slimer on it. No music. No sound effects. No CGI. They know they're parts of the movie and the main of the story but to see it all put together is entirely something else and having been a part of that, makes it all the much more special for her to see her efforts on the big screen. We all knew she was going to be a huge star cause she's so adorable. Basically every actor in any movie only gets to see this film for the first time (and with context) during the premiere. Same with Dubbing Actors. The only ones seeing it before the premiere are the director, the editor, the producer and the studio execs.

I've been watching a lot of BTS content related to the movie, and it's very clear everyone involved are fans and this was a passion project for all of them. Adam Savage's Tested channel has been showing how much love the cast and crew have for the originals, and that's giving a lot of us hope that it will be a good movie that's actually worthy to be called Ghostbusters.

Her reactions are everything! I think we as movie viewers forget that actors are probably more surprised by their own trailers and movies as they see them from a unique point of view -- not just behind the camera, but in a non-chronological sequence due to the nature of filming. And they also do it without SFX and are mired in the technicalities of filmmaking. So to see her genuinely giddy about the film, brings an immense smile to my face. Can't wait!

I did love that bit and it's really cool that they upgraded their tech even after people stopped seeing ghosts. It's just I can't help but think how amazing that moment would have been had we seen it for the first time in the movie. In the international trailer they show how the chair first gets activated and it looks like they hit the switch by accident the first time. I think in the movie they want it to play as a cool reveal to the audience. It'll still be good but I think it would've been a nice surprise.

I'm an 80's kid and an Original Ghostbusters fan. I was sad we never truly got a third movie in the franchise but this movie definitely looks like a worthy addition to the Ghostbusters franchise and I'm glad to see the kids and especially McKenna Grace becoming Ghostbusters. So good to see Ecto-1 running again. But the question is.....why is it Ecto-1 and not Ecto-1A from Ghostbusters II? Did Egon have a duplicate in case the original was damaged?

Absolutely love this and your reactions, I am sure you are going through your head and thinking "I remember filming this scene!" and only just now seeing the finished product with all the special effects added to it. I can see you also may of been kept in the dark with all the secrecy of the film with several things as well. By the looks of this you all did awesome work Mckenna! This isn't her channel. It's just a Ghostbusters channel so she won't see this. I don't think it's so much secrecy as making movies is nothing like watching movies. That scene in Ecto-1 for example there was probably a lot of green screen because they won't let a kid sit in a chair hanging out the side of a speeding car. The director is probably off to the side shouting into a megaphone saying "OK you see the ghost. Fire the proton pack. OK you got the ghost. Drop the trap." etc. So she'd have no idea what the finished product looks like because once the actors are done they don't see the film till the premiere. Films are also almost always filmed out of order so only the director really knows what's happening. Trying to figure it out from what you shot would be impossible. John Malkovich was talking about filming Con Air and he told an interviewer that he had no idea what his character was like, what the movie was about or what scenes he was in. That's an extreme example but it goes to show that even long established actors sometimes have no idea what's going on.
