Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is a 2024 American supernatural comedy film directed by Gil Kenan from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jason Reitman. It is the sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) and the fifth film in the Ghostbusters franchise. The film stars Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Celeste O'Connor, and Logan Kim reprising their roles from Afterlife, alongside Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and William Atherton reprising their characters from the earlier films. Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, Emily Alyn Lind, and James Acaster also join the cast. Set three years after the events of Afterlife, the veteran Ghostbusters must join forces with their new recruits to save the world in New York City from a death-chilling god who seeks to build a spectral army.

Phoebe 4:50, 5:00 & 6:31 The only ghostbuster who was able to stand up to Garraka! If it weren’t for her ghost friend, Melody, nobody could’ve ever survived the second Ice Age or Death-Chill. Plus, she also had help from family, the firemaster, Podcast and the OG ghostbusters. (Janine, Peter, Ray and Winston) Not sure about Dr. Pinfield and Lucky though but they all did it anyway.🔥 The real team!❄️

To be honest, I honestly don’t mind the Fire Master thing in the movie. One Ghostbusters fan could argue that there used to be original ghost catchers before the Ghostbusters in ancient times. if there was a prequel, I would call it, Garraka a Ghostbusters Story.

They sold it well with ray detailing human feats in the past. It didnt feel like forced exposition and it reminded me that it jives with the universe. I do wish they let us pick up on these plotlines without throwing them in our face, like melody working with garakka, the firemaster bit…they hint at it and then immediately reveal that plotline without giving us ANY time to attempt to see it coming. Otherwise, i loved this film. Its a great GB movie. Nothing more, nothing less.

I loved the movie but it needed more. It was too short. Finale was too short. They really could’ve done more with Garaka. Needed more of the old cast. I mean Peter is only in one scene before the end. I also didn’t love the fire master plot. The actor did fine but just thought it was stupid.

{❄️} Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024) - REWRITES (PROBLEMS): 1. Too many characters for individual storylines (cut half the cast or have them be cameos) - characters that serve a purpose for the story can stay 2. Make this the final GB movie making it 40 years exact since 1984 & have 2 hour exact runtime (few more minutes) (time for the franchise to rest) 3. No police or military involvement? (The entire city is engulfed in ice and ghosts) 4. Typical third act the villain finally shows up and is defeated within 10 minutes 5. Have the ghosts terrorize the city but they’re more destructive and harm people (not killing) (giving the movie a PG-13 rating) 6. Get rid of the fire master crap (serves no purpose, just have them use ghost flamethrowers) 7. Garracka will be unleashed during late of act 2 so he sticks around for longer 8. Have the OG’s officially retire and pass down the mantle to the next generation 9. No gay love type relationship between Phoebe and the ghost girl (that’s unnecessary, it’s not that I don’t approve of it it just that not many people want that cramed into an already mediocre but still enjoyable movie) 10. Have the younger kids go through something like what they want their future to be or smn (can’t pay the bills being a Ghostbuster) 11. If there’s gonna be another then make that the final movie (I’d have the ending be teasing new members, and the post credits teasing a new villain (whatever ghost that’s main villain worthy) That’s all I could put together but If you have any other changes you’d like to share or make to my list I’d love to hear and discuss them with y’all. 😃

This was not scary at all… I mean ghostbusters nowadays isn’t terrifying but the old ones were definitely more terrifying good thing I’ve learnt to not be terrified of them anymore 😂 when I was a kid they really made me fear ghosts but from what I know THEY AIN’T REAL!!! I have autism so it’s hard for me to understand fiction vs reality…

Each movie only has two ghost busting sequences. A random ghost like Slimer, the Scoleri Brothers, that dragon in ATC, Muncher and the Sewer Dragon and then the final battle with Gozer, Vigo, Rowan, Gozer and Garraka. It’s probably a way to keep the budget under control/low
