Ghostbusters Ghost Trap Popcorn Bucket AMC VS Regal Cinema

The Regal one is more Screen Accurate and functional. The AMC one is not Screen Accurate and not functional. If you are a Collector and pay attention to Detail, I suggest the Regal one. If you are just a person that wants one for Popcorn, the AMC one would be best cuz that is what it's meant for. I'm a Collector and I got the Regal one.

I agree that Regal is more screen accurate, but I like the AMC mainly for a fun display in my Movie toy room, AMC''s is definitely unique and fun to me and you probably couldn't find a trap like that just anywhere, the regal one is common and has had other releases like Walmart and Spirit Halloween. Both are super cool though. 💪🤓

Brah the Regal one is so cheap looking like it’s a kids toy while the AMC is more of a collector edition from screen accurate with the details in the plastic. I bought the AMC version. It’s built more premium and they put in some work to make it with the bright lights and the illusion of the purple bucket. You could even take the bucket out and have a pretty cool realistic ghost trap.

⁠the stickers just say "Warning" instead of Danger snd the rest of the text from the real trap and the doors aren't stripped in the same direction. I don't know how anyone can argue AMC is more screen accurate.

The Regal version is obvious better. You can actually store stuff inside of it. The AMC is just cool cause it has a big popcorn holder on it and a light but you can't do much more with it

You definitely wouldn't want to put buttered popcorn in the Regal one as it would be a pain in the ass to clean out the inside of it and you'd have to be very careful doing so since it has stickers and internal batteries. At least with the AMC one you can pop out the bucket part from the trap which would store the popcorn and wash it only.

My wife ordered me the Regal one as a gift. I'm quite happy with it. I plan on getting a hose or cable and connect it to the trap so I can go as Afterlife intro Egon to a convention at some point.

I like the look of the Regal for "accuracy" ... I won't pore over details to see if it 1:1 matches up or anything, but as a "prop" it looks pretty dang good with the details. And it's sizable. The AMC one however is the superior popcorn bucket with that tray, and the lighting effect for it looks cool. Either way GB fans have it good!

I love the lighting and photon popcorn holder on the AMC one, but I love the Screen accuracy and functionality of the Regal one. If the purple topper can fit on the Regal one that would just be absolutely grand

I only have AMC in my town but I’d travel a little further away to get the more screen accurate one if I had to choose. Cool trip to the popcorn pops I mean theatre. I can smell it from here! As it is I’m glad I got an AMC theater! I’m getting one!

I just got mine. I had to drive to an AMC 20 minutes away. And then to a Cinemark 45 minutes away for the slimer. I haven’t felt this giddy since I was a kid. I really do feel like a kid again!

The Regal one should not be used for popcorn with liquid butter. It would be hard to clean the raised crevices inside the trap.

I agree, I don't think it's actually supposed to be a popcorn bucket because if you purchase the trap, you don't get popcorn with it. You get popcorn if you purchase the tin bucket. 💪😉

The AMC Bucket is just a bit too long, but I bet you could shave a little off the opening length of the regal, and it would probably fit nicely. 💪🤓 the width looks like it will fit, just not the length.

I actually think the Regal trap isn't for popcorn. It's just a toy they sell, it kinda lazy in my opinion that Regal just sold a trap that can be purchased at any Halloween store.💪🤔

I only have Regal Cinemas near me, I had to get the bucket, cup, & trap. I only wish their trap had a similar purple cone effect with it, but that's my only issue. I wish I could pitch the idea to theaters and say, look....movie tickets are a cost enough. Why not sell these cool items, with a ticket together, for $30? It's outrageous, but seriously why not? Our economy is hell, so why not make that easier for moviegoers. Everybody wins!🍿🌟

I 110% agree with you. Both are cool, but the Regals trap has been sold in stores before or very similar and is not unique like AMC' Bucket trap. I do enjoy both but if I had to buy only one, AMC would be it. 💪🤓

I've actually NEVER seen a movie theater that sells shirts or stuff like that. Never any items that you carry up to the register, besides candy. They sell the special drink and popcorn containers, but they are kept behind the counter. I've been to theaters in Florida, Georgia, Ohio, South Carolina and Alabama and none I've been to have "merch shelves".

Regal is better, though it’s not perfect. If the toggle switch and red indicator light from the AMC could be fitted on the Regal, it would be almost perfect. Really hate the battery compartment placement on the Regal though. That could’ve been hidden a lot better.

I agree as a actual prop Regal is better, and swapping parts from AMC's trap could make it perfect, battery compartment placement is definitely a bad place. But as far a cool unique shelf display, AMC is definitely unique. 💪🤓 as a prop Regal definitely wins. 🤜🤛

Went to at least 15 AMC theaters in two states looking for the ghostbusters trap.....nothing....all sold out....looked on ebay that night....and over 200 listings within hours...cant pay 100$ for something worth 30$....no fun for actual collectors anymore....😢

the one from amc is better but the regal is good ... i only got the regal by me and they only had 5 left so i grabbed it and on the bottom the the regal is says 2024 Columbia pictures so you know it is from frozen empire despite every one saying it looks like the walmart or amazon one
