It’s in one of my flight suit pockets just in case. I got an orange tip wand and painted over it in silver so the tip looked like it belonged

Hi I ve just received my proton pack today. Can you tell me more about that noise? On my one it’s very loud especially on the 84 mode. On the other mode it’s loud only when a switch on and off. It’s something normal? Thanks

I paid 1000$ on ebay... yeah. I didnt pull the trigger when the time was right, so I kinda bit the bullet... But I LOVE my pack! childhood dream come true Never got the RGB pack when I was a kid.

If you turn off the power via the wand and leave the switch on the pack, does it still use battery?

There is a window of maybe 5 minutes where there is still battery power flowing to the wand and you can turn on the pack with the neutrona wand. After that 5 minutes you need to turn on the pack switch again to generate electricity back to the wand.

"We Ghostbusters fans have learned patience".. 1 million upvotes for you man. Isn't that the truth. You are a true fan. Thanks so much for saying that. Just a small example. $400 in 2022 would have been $142 in 1986. Remember being a kid back then. We bought the Kenner Ghost Zapper back then,... it was the closest to a proton wand (yet looked nothing like it). I remember being a kid back then and still being a little disappointed in the zapper because it looked nothing like the packs we saw on screen. The RGB's also had weird colored uniforms that were nothing like the movie. In my kid head that (RGB) was a separate thing. We longed for the actual Ghostbusters. Imagine being able to buy this actual Proton Pack back then for $142. Obviously it was not manufacturable back then but still. I remember getting the first Matty GB figures in 2011 and thinking wow, .... finally.

Very well put! Yeah, I remember examining my Matty figures for a least a half hour and saying to myself, "this is all we were asking for." I love the Real Ghostbusters, but let's face it, it was the movie that made us love this world and these characters (and the equipment!) So just getting something that came strait out of the film is something extra special and this proton pack is THE ghost busting equipment we always wanted.

I love my pack, but just like others are having problems with their wands. I can’t get my wand to work with the pack. I bought another neutrino one, but I haven’t opened it yet. It’s too much of a precious item for me to take to a convention with a lot of people. I’d rather keep mine safe at home.

Sorry to hear that your wand isn't working with the pack. Do you have a bad hose? I've heard that the connector on the pack can be loose for some.

My wand doesn't work with my pack either. Didn't work properly out of box and one of my cyclotron lights was also not working out of box. Had to buy second hand as well for 750 dollars. Tried to get another one and ebay seller took my money and tried to scam me out of purchase.

I agree, if you're willing to shell out over $1000 on Ebay, just have someone build you one.

Using this I can build my own scratch built pack using the measurements and I’ll be building a RGB pack in the afterlife style so I hope I can scavenge enough parts to build the sucker. I’ve got a workshop and a shed full or scrap, engine parts, plumbing parts and all sorts of stuff so I can put some of that to use.
