I bet people gonna come on here and start saying you guys were wrong, but even though it's happening, it's not the Ghostbusters 3 we want. What we wanted was a Ghostbusters that focuses on the Ghostbusters...but I just read that this movie's main focus is going to be on a single Mother and her two kids...sounds more like it's just another reboot, but they're calling it Ghostbusters 3 to try to draw all the fans in.

I just started to watch Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, besides watching a few episodes here and there as a kid when it came on, but I just noticed that this band did the theme song. What's better is that I like the Ghostbusters series, and have watched Parry Gripp's videos for a long time. /end story

Yeah.... No one remembers that shitty movie , already ,and its only been like 2 years. That piece of shit, has already been carefully shovelled into the backlogs of terrible cash-in sequels, just like the TMNT movies after the 3rd one. Who really cared after that? Who actually remembers the new TMNT movies? You know , those terrible CGI abominations which you've been forgetting about and erasing from your memory until now? Oh, you don't remember them either? Exactly. This song still makes perfect sense cause , any real ghost busters fan knows that Ghostbusters 3 didn't happen. They madea reboot , which they called simply, Ghostbusters. They weren't even willing to put a 3 on it, that's how non confident they were in even labelling it as a sequel in any respect (which it wasn't). BTW, if you were indeed referring to the YET ANOTHER REBOOT, GB: Afterlife, not the 2016 version which i didnt even know about until now, then, everything i just said still stands.

@@chumbawampa well. Um. I definitely don't care *that* much, and I literally used to do ghostbusters charity events, but I don't think GB Afterlife is a reboot. It's actually in the same universe as the original two.

@@ronniemarion8456 Yeah. just like the JJ Abrams Star Wars are in the same universe as the Original Trilogy........ In other words , two completely different universes being made 4 decades apart with no similarities whatsoever, and much too long time passed to pick up where the characters left off

@@chumbawampa well I for one am much more optimistic about this new one. Not *excited*, but absolutely more optimistic. Because no matter how long it's been, or what actual unrelated cashgrab reboots happened in the interim, this new one is decidedly *not* in a different universe wherein the events of the first two films didn't happen (they learned not to do that, the hard way). This is also pretty much the last shot at a respectable final film, before god forbid we lose any of the other actors. It's being made with the legacy of the son of the original director at the helm, *and* with his dad right there with him. I have a hunch this movie will be the closest thing to what the fans wanted after 1989. But hey, I'm cool with waiting til this third film comes out. Cause apparently Ghostbusters 3 is gonna happen. :)

Not trying to sound like a jerk here, but you do realize, the first Ghostbusters was actually not a sequel, or a reboot of anything. It was what they used to call, an original film. It was also made in 1984 when the Film industry was MUCH less risk-averse . What im saying is, essentially, originality is dead in the film industry, at least as far as Sci-fi and Comic genres go. Those films should be risks by definition. but now we live in 2020, where a Star Wars , or something akin to the original Ghostbusters, just simply doesnt exist. Look, at you , yourself, you are so excited over a REBOOT to a 30 year OLD franchise . just saying. You know why theyre making another Ghostbusters? Because its a GUARENTEED BOX OFFICE RETURN of investment, everyone will see soemthing called Ghostbusters . Originality, doesnt even come into it. Its ABOUT MAKING MONEY.
