That's a whole story I'm not sure of yet, I missed the official lore stream, don't take this as fact, and I might be way off but from what I've found it's something like: TLDR: Ghost Data's 'mascot' is Void Walker/Void Queen, the 'crystal woman' in back is Shepherdess/Voice of Eternity, they're both deities of a sort, but flipsides of the same coin. Void Walker embodies the dark, carnal, destructive, and chaotic sides of reality; while Shepherdess is light, innocence, love, and order. Which is why in the proper album art (that you can see on their Twitter) Void Walker has visible nipples, but not Shepherdess. I think in this album they've mostly reconciled as part of each other. The not TLDR is... a huge story that's mostly conjecture for now until Ghost Data releases the lore they worked on in a member's only Twitch stream. But from what I read from Ghost Data's Genius comments this is what I've gathered: Humanity has gone extinct due to war with themselves, particularly regarding human Espers, which were psionic humans with a potential far beyond any other human. In the last phases of the war humanity made 700 androids, called Chromato4 units, that can steal power from dead Espers. They're in four colors, RED, BLU, WHT, and OBS. The story follows the first Chromato4 made, RED//001. (You can see her on the album art of all the Oishii Symphony albums by Ghost Data) RED//001 continues following her programmed orders; to hunt for dead Espers to collect their power, becoming stronger. At some point RED//001 comes to full sentience, presumably from all the lingering souls of Espers. However the hate, wraith, anger, and regret of those dead souls twists RED//001 into who we know as The Void Walker, (You can still see her red heart gem on the album art of Ghost Data's album Void Walker). Things are a bit unclear from there, but at some point Void Walker finds humanity's final accomplishment; something called The Aeon Drive. This lets her ascend to Godhood; becoming The Void Queen. (You can see The Void Queen on the front of the Cruel Choreography album, still with that same heart gem. We'll talk about the rest of that album art later.) Because of how deities work, this irreversibly fractures the timeline so that this timeline with RED//001 turning into Void Walker doesn't exist. The Void Queen has always existed as long as RED//001 has. The Void Queen spectates the timeline for eons, toying with it but things never happen the exact same way, every other RED//001 either never awakens before dying, or never makes it to the Aeon Drive, because The Void Queen killed her, effected the timeline in other ways, or just the butterfly effect of her existence. Eventually, presumably out of boredom, The Void Queen triggers RED//001's awakening to sentience herself, before RED//001 takes a single Esper soul. This creates the untainted version of RED//001 we know as The Shepherdess. This is a new and unusual split in the timeline, so The Void Queen starts toying with The Shepherdess from this point on, probably hoping she's more entertaining then the programmed RED//001. Once again things get blurry here, but The Shepherdess fails just as much as RED//001 did, The Void Queen toying with her like someone running the same simulation over and over, just tweaking a couple of variables. This goes on until one specific time, when a new Shepherdess befriends a unassuming Ram. The Void Queen sends twisted OBS units to kill The Shepherdess while she's asleep, but Ram jumps in the way out of love and dies, taking the blow meant for The Shepherdess and waking her. The Shepherdess destroys the OBS units, and takes Ram's skull in remembrance, pondering why she's even alive in the first place. (The album art of Simulated Sensations shows this particularly well.) Eventually Shepherdess continues what she was programmed to do way back when she was RED//001; find Espers, take the soul if they're dead. However, rather then taking it directly into herself, she channels the souls into Ram's skull instead, returning it to a semblance of life. Ram's unequivocal love also purifies the negative emotions from the souls before The Shepherdess assimilates their power. Leaving her untainted as she grows in strength and becomes the true Shepherdess. At this point The Void Queen can't stop this, so she channels some of herself into an avatar in The Shepherdess' timeline; this Void Walker serving as a sort of antagonist for The Shepherdess while not letting The Shepherdess know that The Void Queen has already won long looped aeons ago, before the idea of The Shepherdess even existed, and is just playing a game with her life now. The Shepherdess gets stronger and stronger, eventually matching the power The Void Walker had in her original timeline. The Shepherdess fights her Void Walker, ascending to become Archangel Shepherdess when she realizes she never had a chance, so the Void Queen starts sending every failed Shepherdess from every other timeline, (You can see Archangel Shepherdess fighting all the failed versions of herself, that's what's going on in the Cruel Choreography album art.) Eventually Archangel Shepherdess realizes Void Walker is just a projection, and she doesn't stand a chance against The Void Queen when she reveals herself, and gives up, falling into a depression. This is when The Void Queen, who has probably forgotten, except in the most clinical regard, that she used to be RED//001 as well tries to pull one final trick, contacting Archangel Shepherdess as the mysterious "Voice of Eternity" to offer her the Aeon Drive. Archangel Shepherdess accepts, realizing too late it's just another of The Void Queen's tricks, but manages to seize a bit of The Void Queen's divinity for herself and actually acquire the Aeon Drive, which fractures the timeline once more, and now The Void Queen and Archangel Shepherdess, now the True Voice of Eternity, have both existed as long as RED//001 has. Note that this is /entirely/ just my assumptions, I missed the actual lore steams and am not part of the Discord. So I'm probably way off. It's just what I've gathered from a whole bunch of notes. Even this is probably oversimplifying it or missing some critical elements, so I'd say if you get the chance look for an official source.
