I always assumed this was about a powerful queen. But then I read their web sight and... Originally named 'Calibernus', this song is about the sword Excalibur and her inexorable link to the earth and forces of nature, as discussed in the legends of King Arthur. Mind = Blown

Huh...so, looking up the lyrics on their site, the song is actually about the sword Excalibur, the one from the legend of King Arthur. Knowing that makes this song even far more amazing, actually!
@jennybean2694

I looked it up too, but another site said that this was originally called "Calibernus" as well but was renamed after people at Lincoln Asylum Festival did a waltz to this song.

Legends spoken shall never fail Every deed as hard as nails She never speaks, she never smiles The journey's end of a thousand miles Rings on her fingers and bells on her toes Music to haunt us she knows As she goes Many years in a bed of rock Too many turns of the season's clock She never smiles, she never speaks The awful silence grows long and deep Ghost light and candlelight show her the way Onwards the dawn of the day As they say Stay with her, lay with her, carry her high Swear an allegiance to things you can't hide She will find us again She will bind us again Lies won't blind us again Heavens bow to her reign Once again Into her arms below the ground Eternity never made a sound She never speaks, she never smiles The journey ends in a thousand trials Rings on her fingers and bells on her toes Devils and demons alive alive-o Follow us close as we go As we know

I think the major reason I like this song is beacause it sounds so...real! For example, I can easily imagine this being background music in a cafe in some Steampunk movie while the characters talk about stopping the Mad Daoctor who's trying to kill them to get the other half of the talisman that their father left them that will lead them to some ancient clockwork temple of power.

@GilliLee Violin would sound awesome on that song. It's all based around the chords Am, E, F and C - probably not so easy to work out since there are a lot of fast changes. Key is Am though. I can send you a chord sheet but I'd need an address.

Love the music, and I'm glad the genre is slowly gaining the respect it deserves; though I think we can all agree that were it to go "popular" it would ruin what has already been accomplished. A musical style built on the concepts of industriousness and inventiveness needs to remain creative. Long live the era that never was.

you know guys not every one has a harpsichord lying around, I've been to some music stores and I sure don't remember the harpsichord section just chock full of the things. Its a rather specialty item. the last one I saw was an old electric in an old friend of the family's basement. And we had been digging out an old crochet set to play at the time.
