I would have to agree with you on these "My Picks" for the ASR class. As a 20 year veteran of the US ARMY. I remember in 2003 when our infantry unit was introduced to the M4. We were in Turkey, set to engage into battle in Iraq when we had to turn in our M16A2 for the M4A1. That weapon is a beast. However, I do wish Breakpoint had the M16 and M60 LMG as Wildlands does. Those are my 2 personal favorites as I came up through the military from 1999 to 2003 with those particular 2 weapons. But as far as the "Game" goes, my personal ASR picks would be right there with yours!

Damn I love this game! Playing it in 2022. I know it must be more stable than 2019 version so I have not encountered any issues whatsoever. Playing with AI squad. Feels like the good old days Tactical Shooter, only far more refined. And not to mention, what beautiful graphics!

This is perhaps the most beautiful open world ever, even compared to likes of RDR2 I'd say. That valley in Seal Islands -- absolute droolworthy. The only issue is all townships/ labs/ bases look the same; there is no variety there. PC performance is also much better than WIldlands on latest hardware, given Vulkan support. I consider this game to be a 2021 release, and I am glad I tried it the first time only then. So I did not see its ghost from 2019.

Another sleeper gun is the MK18, basically a laser beam, the only downside is the damage is very weak when using against armored opponents otherwise no recoil and extreme accurate, fits for new players.

honestly for top 5 I'd go for M4A1, M4A1 Assault, 416 Assault, K1A, & MK18 sure the last two are 45K each, but both are really just solid choices if you've maxed out the weapon mastery for Assault Rifles I highly recommend the M4A1/416 Assault considering how much their horizontal recoil has been lowered because of it, it does great damage and the only trade off was recoil which is now remedied by weapon mastery so all in all early-mid game: M4A1, K1A, & MK18 late game: M4A1/416 Assault

Well, here is my top 5. 5. AS VAL (SR-3M) Tactical - Crazy burst fire juggernaut killer, cheat reload, cheat accuracy, but the downside is short range and slow bullet, limited customization, very situational. 4. Mk.17 Assault - Mini LMG, an almost perfect in any situation but unfortunately, it kicks very hard even with Assault with full ASR mastery. 3. AK-74 Assault - Highly versatile work well even without mastery with probably only downside is lower end ROF. 2. M4A1 - Another mini LMG and highly versatile, however, it doesn't hit very hard and its ROF burns through ammo pool likes igniting gun powder. 1. SC-40K - You can have Homelander "Perfect" meme for this one. Well, almost perfect and I don't really get along very well with Digital Scope as it's the only mid range scope option for it.

I think 416 Shorty is my favourite. With underbarell grenade launcher, short barrel, suppressor, panoramic sight. Short, precise, good for anything from CQC to mid-range. And grenade launcher helps in case of being ambushed by reinforcement, with one shot I can dismiss the vehicle before reinforcements would deploy on foot.

I usually swap between the 4-AC or M4A1 as my primary. If I’m playing Assault Class, secondary is usually a 7.62 ammo gun like the AC-AR, 805 Bren or MK17 Assault. If I’m not using the Assault Class, then I may use the M110 or Honey Badger. Love the Vector Shorty, Vector and MP7 for alternate SMGs if I’m not using the Honey Badger.

The 416 is my go to gun, with the right attachments it's down for anything, I commonly run it with digital scope, grenade launcher and 100 rnd magazine. The M4a1similarly is a superb rifle in most circumstances. For longer range engagements I like to run with the ARX-200, for close in fights I really like the FA-MAS G-2 (friggin gazpacho maker). Last I think it'd have to be the VHSD2, another great all arounder. There are a lot of great ones though, if anything we're spoiled for choice.

The funny thing is your assessment of the 416 vs the 516 is accurate. I own the real 516 from sig. It is snappier a bit than the hk 416. The 416 is heavier quite a bit. The 516 is better to me because it's lighter. The lighter weight makes it snappier a bit bit it's easier to train and carry with.

@@mikey-boy2519 ok. Now I know you're a dipsh!t. The hk 416 is called the mr556 in the civilian model but it is functionally the same except for the fun switch. The sig Sauer 516 is literally the same name whether it is slept fire or civilian model. The 516 I had was the sug Sauer 516 patrol gen 2. 16 in barrel and semi auto. Other than select fire, it was identical to the military model. Plus knowledge of the weapon systems is not a secret. It's available online. The reason I got rid of the gun was because sig no longer makes it and I wanted my fighting rifle to be something that had support. So I grabbed a milspec semi auto direct impingement rifle that has an insanely large support network of parts that can be had for super inexpensive prices and high quality. Don't be a know it all brat who doesn't know shit about a subject.

They are BCM guns. They are real guns but often Frankensteined together to be built into a solid weapon. The 4ac looks like a ghetto blaster by noveske. They are real guns, one was a Kimber rifle as well.

Thanks for the video, completely agree with M4A1 being at least top 5, but there's a hidden gems to a Colt M4A1. The M203 Underbarrel Grenade Launcher, transforms it to an all out battle conqueror. Taking down convoys solo, is a breeze with M203. Or Snipers holed in a watch tower. M4A1 can do it all. Maybe next video do top 5 pistols, and ridiculous M1911 extended mag with 30 rounds. I may still be in my early days in game, but so far out of the 60-70% of the guns I've got from exploring rather than doing missions, my favourite is the VHSD2, so far out of the Standard, Greens and Blues, it has the best stats overall, I'm hearing others mention the same set of guns in various videos and I can only guess when I start getting purple and gold grade that other guns that are presently rubbish in stats will surpass the VHSD2

Actually the Resistance ASR is a real gun. It's a Finnish Valmet M82 in 5.56 NATO they were imported into the U.S. in the 1980's until a Import Ban was put in.

Can fill entire hallways with bullets, lay down suppressive fire while your team gets into position, and you can blow up cars full of guys with the GL if they happen to drive up on you. My favorites are the mk18, the tavor, and the m4 that had the front sight removed. None of the rifles I have shot or owned have the classic posts and the cqc one with it inexplicably in the middle of the rail makes my teeth itch. It’s mostly asthetics. Though I do the the pseudo larping where I only carry one gun (I hate how multiple guns attach to your backpack or you back, but it would probably be a pain in the ass to model and render proper sling mechanics.)

I really like the AK47 Assault. It's an AK103 with zenit furniture. Handles real well, sounds great, and gets a weapon damage bonus after 1 kill meaning a 2 shot kill.

That gun is as "operator" as it gets, the only part of the original rifle that's left is the receiver, everything else is custom and the B33 hand guard lets the barrel free float like a high end AR. I run it with the PKAS 1.5x sight, not sure what it's called in game. It's also the only AK variant in game that can fit the MAWL iluminator. One of the few gripes I have with ghost recon is they don't let you run the Eotech sights like the Vudu on assault rifles, even though the Zenit ak variants have the Picatinny rails to mount them.

I use the 416. Peq15. Exps if I have a sniper with me too, if not then I run the exps with the g33 magnifier. In real life the maws is king. But in the game the peq is way better for cqb. The illuminator is a lot wider and doesn’t wash out the target indicator/ ir laser like the mawl does.

I can’t do a top 5 because I’ve used the K1A for so long. I like a 3 round burst and an under barrel option. The K1A can have either a grenade launcher, or a shotgun once you unlock it. I fully upgraded the assault rifle slot as that and my sniper rifle are my go to guns.

The fire rate is lower but the trade off is more damage per bullet and it also leads to an easier recoil management. The muzzle goes bonkers towards the end of the magazine though but nothing you can't get used to. I love the higher damage output on it and its controllable laser beam accuracy and range.

Single one gun for me ... VHS every time Adequate RoF Better damage then most of the other 5.56 rifles that are not DMRs Accuracy ... at 150-200m it can be better than some DMRs at the same range Yeah yeah 3.5 second reload you say ... if fast reload is critical, you need to rethink your tactics

The 416 Shorty is by far the best gun all around except for damage. If the damage was higher on that gun, then it would be unstoppable with all the proper attachments. It has the best accuracy and handling, etc. But the damage is only 27 so that sucks. I still like rocking it the most as I’m pretty good at head shots and if for some reason I miss I just have to send a few more into the chest real quickly.

HK 416, the real weapon is impressive. It has many advantages over an M4A1. HK really accomplished the expectations of it's clientele, over and above. But to me personally, the 416 didn't translate well enough into Breakpoint. So I didn't see an advantage over the M4A1 in game. The M203 GL looks out of place on 416. And Daniel Defence 516 is alright, but lacks that punch of the M4A1 or 416. MK18 dwarfs it, though. So between HK 416, DD 516, DD MK18? MK18 wins hands on. Though the damage is a little left to be desired, it fits the Close Quarter Battle operational role perfectly. Tight bullet spread, fast transition to next target compared to scratchy 416 has tendency to miss during heated gunfire exchange. It's all about confidence, and I am left without confidence using the 416.

My top 5, of course the m4 A1, the AR-18 it doesnt have much customization but it has little to no recoil and it's a hard puncher. If I were to do black ops with friends, you'll most likely see me with this rifle. The 416 and 516, yes are very well, they remind me of the AR-15 and and the M-27. And lastly the M110. recently I've been using a lot of DMR rifles.

I hate assault variants due to them not being semi-auto, it sucks since loud is dead and full auto or burst causes me to alert guards with a stray shot or 2, and other variants don't allow me to put enemies down quick enough when rounding a corner and surprise there's the last enemy I couldn't tag and now I'm down

The 416 is basically the M4A1, but better in every way except for the fire rate. Not that 700 rounds per second isn't good. Believe me, I accept at least 600.

The second I get a PC this game (or whatever ghost recon is out by then) will be one of the first things I boot up. Playing on PS5, and yes it does run at 60fps at least, it visually looks NOWHERE NEAR as good as this. THIS is breathtaking. I could not imagine playing the game like this at all times. So the 805 Bren, didn't even get, an honorable mention?!?! That, and the MK17, are generally my first two, go to picks..! I run them with the digital scope. Because well, they're just so damned versatile. If your short of a sniper rifle, they'll still put the lead down range, with emphasis, with the right setup. I generally run just the standard barrel (while wishing I could get a long one). Add a tripod from the prone position, from overwatch, and you're a snipers worst f'kin nightmare! Drop the suppressor, if you run one, and add a compensator, if your moving through open terrain, and they'll make much shorter work of that chopper, and those armored armed vehicles, and drones, that always seem to catch you out in the open, after the drone spots you, (and you know it will) than that 5.56 will. JMHO! (Now I realize, getting caught out in the open, isn't a problem for everyone. Especially if your fast traveling, or using a vehicle. I like the immersion, of avoiding fast travel, altogether however. Which sometimes leaves you no choice, but to wear out some shoe leather, on occasion. And inevitably, at some point, your gonna get caught by that damned Azrael drone, somewhere other than the jungle, or forest, to take advantage of the cover. Then you'll learn, to truly appreciate, the beauty, of these two lovely's..! Especially, when you don't particularly care, to tote that, Not so light, LMG over the next five cliks.) If I have to carry an LMG, It's generally the Stoner. The only 5.56, and LMG I'll carry. And I use it for vehicle destruction, and suppression fire exclusively, and only when exfiltrating. The only exception to this rule, is if I'm taking down a target of opportunity, like a convoy, I'm crossing paths with, while out in the open, and an easier, faster alternative, isn't available. But again, that's only if needed. It's rarely needed..! But it's always set, to rock-n-roll, if we do. For CQC, I prefer something that works well in tight spaces. With quick handling, a peep sight, and a laser, for fast target acquisition The MP5, MP7, or MPX, all work well for me. The Scorpian does a beautiful job as well. It really doesn't make, that much difference, at this range though, if your running 9mm, or .45acp. If your the unlucky bastard, caught on the business end of it, it's still gonna ruin your day! It's funny right? Civilized society, used to revile head hunters. Now we groom them..! I've got nothing against the M4A1 Family of carbines, they're all really nice weapons. And they're everything, you've made them out to be. I've just found, that with the 7.62, when I hit my target, in the head, ( note I said when, not if) It only requires one round. I never have to follow up, with a second shot, to put them down, like I've done, with a grazing head shot, from a 5.56. Even a graze, from the 7.62, in the head, will drop'em like a like a bad habit...And since I'm an old codger now, and my eyesight ain't what it used to be. And my reflexes ain't fer shit, since the "Itis" family moved in. Well, I need all the advantages I can get, to keep up with these hooligans today..! I like to familiarize myself, with the weapons of choice, and setups, of my enemy! To be deadlier with them, then they are. Because in the next theatre of War, the ammo you'll most likely be scavenging for, will either be Nato 5.56, or 7.62...

Those "Outcast ASRs" aren't fake, those guns are Valmet M82's. They've shown up on various KZbin videos. It's an older Finnish bullpulp chambered in either 5.56 or 7 62x39. Essentially Finnish Bullpulp AK's. Some of the best AK platform guns came from Finland, Valmets are also the base for the IMI Galil platform. They aren't made up rifles but they probably couldn't secure the naming rights in game, so "Outcast AR" is easier to work around it. I think the only made up gun in the game is the Terminator MK14.
