I just found this song a few months ago and ever since, I can't stopping listening to it. It gives me the strangest sensation of nostalgia, melancholy and calm at the same time. I can't always explain the emotions I feel when listening to this song, but I know that I'll keep coming back to it regardless.

I've been on since 2015. My first song was Pretender and I fell in love with BM. I noticed he lost some "edgy" gatekeeping followers because this album wasn't "goth" enough but I feel like it's what also put him on the map a bit more. It's been one of my favorite albums to date and for kind of the same reasons you mentioned. In case you aren't already aware, his latest album just released but I too, have to always come back to this one ❤️

Oh iron lung, are you at the house? Will you be alright? Did they throw you out? I want to know, are they keeping you down? Are you working now, is it working out? Now I suppose you've been under the gun Is it closing time, did you have to run? Try this on, you feel perfect now Did they speak of you until their tongues fell out? I don't believe you, iron lung I don't believe in the plow You kept me young, you were my iron lung I need you now Now iron lung, did they make you sing? When they bent your arm and took your ring? I can see you now, I can hear your sound You keep me up, my iron lung I don't believe you, iron lung I don't believe in the plow You kept me young, you were my iron lung I need you now

@@Kabanchik04 An iron lung is used to keep the patients bryant hobbs was talking about alive. It's used when a patient can't breathe on their own, it essentially works their diaphragm for them. Without it, they would die. I assume iron lung is a slightly dark, somber metaphor for someone the singer loves and misses dearly. Probably a remark on how much he needs that person in his life, how dependent he's become on them. He can't breathe without them. He can't live without their presence.
