I had to replace my 15yr old system and this one had good reviews so🌼 order up! Pulled it out and installed it in about 30 minutes for the unit. Another 2 hours for the suction & exhaust pipes because I had a rather difficult corner to fit it in and the in/out were on the opposite sides of my previous unit. Powered up, works great! Way better suction than the unit it replaced. Significantly quieter as well - the old unit was at least 50% louder. Highly recommended.

That plumbing system for the central vacuum looks great. I have seen several central vacuum setups which are clogged because the debris from the upstairs falls into the tubing for the main floor or basement and not into the vacuum. Often times the problem is right in the garage where the plumbing was done incorrectly.

I bought the white floor tool for my SRX because I hate the factory floor tool. The new one glides whereas the Rainbow is catches a lot of friction that requires more pressure to move. It swivels a lot better than the oem tool as well. I love it.

I have contemplated fitting a CV but my garage is not attached and I don't have a basement so nowhere to put it sadly. I do like them very much and being able to exhaust the air outside is excellent. I will have to stick with my Miele C3 and Sebo E3 to keep my house clean. Plus my Sentria 2 when I want an extra deep clean.

That central vac pulls a lot of amps. I saw your household lights dim for a second when you turn the suction on.

I like how quiet central vacs are but I don’t know if I could get used to the super long hose. Maybe it would just be something to get used to and after some time I wouldn’t mind.
@2711marcus7 жыл бұрын
Lucky you. ,😊 I fitted a Flo master. It will do for my first Central Vac. I might get a Silent master sometime. The Modern Day has the tangential bypass motor which I'm told are the longest lasting.

I would love to see airflow tests for this. So many say they clean carpet really well. So is that 180cfm at the power nozzle? I would think it would lower the farther from the main unit you get. Just curious. Mom is building a house and is considering a system like this.

There's way more to cleaning than CFM. But they're by far the most powerful vacuum cleaner you can buy.
@Cleaning_Hero3 жыл бұрын
@@PerformanceReviews so it’s CFM, suction pressure, agitation, head design, brush roll, bristle design, brush roll rpm. Those are the main variables I can think of. Is that right? It would be a cool video if you explained all those metrics and how they work with each other.

I've never seen a dirt bin on TOP of the motor compartment! I was shopping for the NuTone PurPower 700 but after learning that the motors would just get bathed in dirt and shorten their life, I was recommended to shop Nadair or Cyclovac since their units commenly have 140+ of water lift. What's you're opinion on Nadair or Cyclovac? Or do you have a brand that you recommend?
@PerformanceReviews2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you might be in Canada? I'm a mile above sea level so my numbers will always be different than the published numbers. Cyclovac is the better of those two brands.

Does that lever on the hide a hose outlet lock it at whatever length you pull out? Surely you don’t have to pull out 65 feet if you’re just going to vacuum the stairs? If so it’s still worth it to have this system.. the suction power alone.. plus it’s the most baller way to clean your house

Really the only place you'd want to skip out is maybe not getting a hide a hose . You could get a smaller motor unit if you have a smaller house. There's really not a reason to go cheep on a central Vacuum . Especially considering whatever you spend is equity in the house.

I have a Nutone central vacuum (not a fantastic one), it's exhausted within the house (in the utility room) because the home didn't have a rough-in to exhaust it outside. I'm worried about the fine dust getting into the living areas, do you have any recommendations for an exhaust filter that's not terrible?
@PerformanceReviews6 жыл бұрын
Cen tech makes an exhaust filter that fits on the 2-inch PVC fitting that needs to be changed every 6 months but it helps a lot. You can also find HEPA grade bags for your nutone .
