The atmosphere, instruments, subtle little noises, the backup vocalist, the piano, Ghostpoet's delivery. So dark, so hopeless. A foggy Wednesday morning. Super dope. It could work as a theme to some horror or the music when the credits roll.

I am not a typical hip-hop consumer. I'm quite picky, generally speaking when it comes to music. I heard about Ghostpoet by accident a few years ago. He set up a series of remix contests for songs from his second album "Some Say I So I Say Light". That time I was into this 'remix business' quite heavily. Sure, I never won any, but I did them very enthusiastically. My awkward remixes are not much appreciated by other artists and the large audience. His third album, "Shedding Skin" is still one of my favourite albums. His fourth album, "Dark Days" was not so exciting, lacking the grooves and brilliancy of its predecessor. I am looking forward to devouring his new production called "I Grow Tired But Dare Not Fall Asleep". Concrete Pony, the lead single/video is quite promising. Thanks, Ghospoet!

Finally a music, for my ears. I am nit picker in mix, production and sound design. After few tracks from this new record, i am embraced by that phenomenal production and sound architecture. When someone will say, "how will you imagine an natural progress in hip hop genre from old-school?" i will for sure, say this album. With the use of real instruments, experimental and really abstract stuff with sub-genres, not-predictable song writing and spoken word.
