The Towneley family did not end in 1901 as Cosima Towneley is still alive & lives nearby Towneley Hall at Dyneley Hall or farm as I think it's called today.

It wasn't "The British" that underestimated the Turks nor was it really Churchill. Churchill was fully aware that there would be mass casualties and he estimated this with purpose. The loss of this appalling number of men was a strategic move.

I live in towneley :/ Near brunshaw and now I can't sleep Isn't there a "ghost" of the person whos head was found in one of the walls They say they walk the halls at night in a green iluminsent glow carrying their head
