The ghosts of Beechworth Gaol/Jail, are they real, and if so who are they? We visited one of the most haunted prisons in Victoria, Australia, to see if we could answer these questions.

My family had a holiday house near Beechworth and we would go to this place a lot. Definitely where some of my interest in Jail history came from. I remember distinctly feeling like I was being watched and I asked our guide if we were the only people there. He asked me "where do you sense the eyes on you?" I pointed up to the top area. And then he told me that is where people were hung. I kinda blocked it out cause I was a kid but then like during Covid KZbin started recommending me ghost hunting videos and it made me think about this place. So much history.

The nearest thing to Irish is when your vox picked up what sounded like "iss cuum". In Irish, is cuma pronounced, "isss cumma", means "whatever" and "is cuma liom", pronounced "isss cumma luum" means "I don't care". Sounds to me like you got part of the Irish language conversation there ladies.

To me it sounded like the vox said "Powerful Arse"! Just before that it sounded like "A Big Boat" and not "Big Ball or Balls", but that voice had an accent akin to Scots of northern Irish, definately not southern Irish.

I was a prisoner back in the 90's anyway one night we were smoking dope in the old condemned cell witch was the biggest cell as there was a few of us partaking. As I was leaving I walked onto the old trap door were they used to hang people and started acting stupid as I was pretending I was getting hung. Everyone was laughing and cheering me on. It came time for lockdown for the night and I went to my single cell I got locked in and was laying on my bed listening to music. All of a sudden my stereo volume went up then down by itself then my tv turned on then everything turned off and went really cold,I was still just laying there when all of a sudden it felt like someone punched me hard in the chest it was so hard it winded me . I was in there by myself locked in I shit the next morning I went back to the trap door and apologized to the spirit that I pissed off ..
