Ah yes, the first piece. I look forward to your dilemma in a couple years when you own like 50 :) Seriously though if you wanted to start a collection, the Ghoulish Gourd Pub & Grill is one of the best pieces they've done in years. A great centerpiece. Just know it is pretty big though, so not sure how much space you have from the wall-out on your mantle. Farm pieces are my specialty though. Knowing your tastes, I would look at the Department 56 Haunted Barn. It's retired and can be tough to find, but it's amazing. I have a review of it on this channel. It's one of my favorite pieces of all time!

I am not sure yet on this one. I unfortunately do not have access to what Michaels will or will not stock as I guess they like to keep that info to themselves. I will tell you though that I am going to make an educated guess that this building will NOT be at michaels this year, though, due to them already having a very large exclusive piece in the toy factory. If you are wanting this, I'd pre-order or order from one of the online dealers that stock it. That's my hunch!

Wow - this looks almost like Department 56 might be getting a run for their money this year. I am a collector but of D56 only - because the graphics on Lemax has always been hit or miss but the close up that you showed I might have to take a serious look at his piece. I just bought my 50th D56 halloween building. I love your videos and your timing with this video is perfect we all need a look to fall.

Hi Debi thanks for the comment. I usually prefer D56 as well but this year having seen the offerings, I think Lemax has WAY more enticing lineup. I am actually really disappointed with what D56 has offered, especially given how expensive they are. I think the Cemetery House is super cool and I would like the pumpkin patch, but in trying to review all of these things for the channel I dunno if I budget is going to allow it. Congrats on your 50th building- i bet you have an amazing collection

My pumpkin head is spinning 1.5 rotations instead of one most times, so it is rarely lined up properly. This is my first mechanical piece, so I don't know if this is normal? fixable? It's a bummer because the lighting works best if it is properly aligned. This was a fantastic review video, by the way!

Yikes, it sounds like you have a misaligned gear or something going on. If you disassemble the building then yes, it's probably fixable. However, given its a new piece I would try and exchange it!

Not sure on prices as I wasn't given them. If they aren't going to honor competitor coupons this year that means it will be even more important to shop as soon as they go on sale when you can hopefully at least snag one of the big ones for 50 percent off before they put lemax stuff "on sale" and lock it in at 30% off through the majority of the season.

mechnically? I don't think any village piece from any company is mechanically reliable as they all use cheap brushed motors and flimsy mechanisms for animation. I always run mine pretty sparingly because of this!

The pumpkin turning at the top makes too much mechanical noise. Looks awesome, the sound might get a little irritating after awhile.

Yeah Carl, I guess the way I look at it is almost all of the really animated pieces have sound that gets pretty obnoxious. Arguably my favorite piece, Dr. Stretch N Pull's Torture Factory, sounds like a small engine! I'm pretty close in the video here, but in practice it reminds me of a clock tick tocking in volume

I just got mine and, yeah, it's a bit loud. I don't mind the clicking too much, but the pumpkin sipping from the keg makes a squeaky sound when it goes up and down. I'm hoping a bit of oil will get it to stop. They should definitely have added a way to turn off the spinning, not just because of the sound, but because that sudden stop and go motion is not going to hold up very well. I feel like the pumpkin is going to fly off and hit me in the head at some point.

Even though this piece the ghoulish gourd pub and grill will really go very well next to I believe the black Raven manor haunted house both of which I had to go to eBay to purchase because at this point it’s October 2022 and both of these Michels pieces came out in the year 2020 that I also have in my current inventory that wonderful head stone mill brewery building that I was able to purchase this year at an incredible 65% off discount as well as the groom room also at a 65% off discount counting all of my vouchers. I guess not a bad problem to have owning four buildings even if I can only display two per year due to being over 65 with not much room left in the house having three grand children running around but all under seven years old and not into such frivolity yet. They’re either into sonic the hedgehog or Sesame Street which is appropriate for their ages and I really get into playing at that level with them. I hope you have a chance to read these comments and reply back whenever convenient as I really feel that your professional presence your personal fall delivery and your extremely friendly demeanor during all of your reviews is very indicative of how far you can go in the public relations field if that is of any interest to you businesswise.
