I'm sorry, but I don't there anyone in 2024 - any singer - that can improvise and control notes like this, and deliver a ghazal. This is lost! let's preserve this

One of my favourite ghulam ali composition. A difficult antara as it goes very high. A testimonial of ustad's unsurpassed ability to play with surs and taal at his will.

@TheUma2000 I am already an admirer of your ability. I have lived my life in poetry and music, though I am still a learner, as one always remains. My love for Urdu poetry was so strong that I remembered by heart about three quarters of Dewan e Ghalib when I was only in class seven. I felt strange rhythm in it, because I loved music also. Later it was in my college days that I remembered more than three quarters of all poetry of Ahmed Faraz which I still do. I love both. Best wishes, Qasim.

@TheUma2000 Sha-iri mein aap ki dilchaspi qabil e tahseen hai lekin kuch cheezon par tavajo furmayen. Aik to aap ghuzal ko ghazal likha karain dosray ghazal ki bareekion ko samjhnay ke liye ilme arooz, intiqadiat aur shairy oozaan se mutaaliq kuch basic literature ka mutalia karen ta ke aap ko alfaaz ki nishat o barkhast aur qafia radeef ki khobsoortiyon ka mazeed pata chal sakay. Dosray ye ke kuch asaataza maslan Mir, Gjhalib, Momin, Aatish, Daagh, Hasrat, Iqbaj, Faiz, Faraz, Josh etc.(cont.)

قتیل شفائی 103 راستے یاد نہیں راہنما یاد نہیں اب مجھے کچھ تری گلیوں کے سوا یاد نہیں پھر خیالوں میں وہ بیتے ہوئے ساون آئے لیکن اب تجھ کو پپیہے کی صدا یاد نہیں ایک وعدہ تھا جو شیشے کی طرح ٹوٹ گیا حادثہ کب یہ ہوا کیسے ہوا یاد نہیں ہم دیا کرتے تھے اغیار کو طعنہ جن کا اب تو ہم کو بھی وہ آداب وفا یاد نہیں وضع داری سے ہے مجبور مرا پیار قتیلؔ سب پرانے ہیں کوئی داغ نیا یاد نہیں This is Qateel shifai original ghazal But the one sung by Ghulam Ali has been changed in different couplets

Beautiful lafz, coupled with beautiful mosiki and bemisaal gayiki, had paved the way for a lajabab ghazal ! Ustad Ghulam Ali Saab has added an altogether new dimension to the art of ghazal gayiki making it more soothing, soulful, and worth - listening again and again without getting bored !

@sqhzaidi Ki mashhoor ghazlon ko zaroor parhain. Ye sab karney se ho sakta hai ke aap ka perception tabdeel ho aur aap ke taste mein aik Wusaat(expansion) aur maturity aaye. Neez aap foran pehchaan lein gi ke iss sha-ir ka mayaar kitna baland ya past hai aur iss ne ye khayaal kahan se borrow kia hai. Shayad aap ne Saghar ki mashoor ghazal, "Hai due yaad magar harf e dua yaad nahin" bhi suni ho aur aisi darjanon achhi ghazlen. I appreciate your taste and respect your liking and passion. Thanks
