totally agree about the finishes. i like the glossy finishes because, in action, the characters look sweaty in action poses and i enjoy that dynamic. maybe the pilots in the cockpits don't need to look sweaty and need matted paint jobs to be seen better through the clear plastic windows? i think an easy fix would be to add that gloss to them and maybe that is all that's needed and the preference is left up to the owner. hmmm. Glenda looks great to me. i don't have a dragonfly but i had to pick up Glenda. getting all the Scarlett variants. :D

The parachute pack is mostly the same. They added a hole for his oxygen mask going to his Web gear. Also, the halo jumper pack is softer plastic.

Ah - good info about the pack. I bet that softer plastic doesn't have the stress marks.

Check out the Jyn Eros & Cassian Andor TBS figures. The originals had faces just like these. Only figs that ever did it (that I can remember)

After putting these beside the rest of the Classified collection, they're not wildly far off from some. There's a shocking range of facial deco differences across the line. But Ripcord is by far the weirdest.

I am sorta tempted to get a NF Crazy Legs but if the face is as uncanny valley as ripcord I’m inclined to save my aftermarket money. I hope they go back to the other way for the mainline release- otherwise this ripcord looks rad.

I'd be willing to bet there was an issue and these are anomalies. I have a replacement coming and I'll be curious to see if the portrait looks different. There has to be a reason they won't have them until January.

The paint apps on the face being different from the mainline figures is definitely disappointing. But at least for Ripcord, it’s not going to matter all that much since I’m going to always have his flight helmet on him unless he’s making a quick pit stop at the tiki bar. 😏

Ripcord’s weapons are all reuse, which is also a big bummer imo considering all the other figures got brand new weapons. They aren’t terrible weapons, but definitely doesn’t feel as special knowing I’ve already got them a few times over already from a couple of the Steel Corps sets and the Viper 3-Pack. 🤷‍♂️

BOO. That's always my biggest fear with big crowdfund sets - that one little item will just be missing. It's like when I used to mess with LEGO - you always spent a couple of minutes thinking one brick wasn't in there, then you'd find it.

@ they want me to send the figure back but it was mentioned they may send another figure as replacement. I believe that’s fair, due to the limited nature of Haslab, but there’s no way I’m doing that. I’ll just wait until they reissue the piece with another figure and buy it separately on mercari or something

With the announcement that production will be delayed for all 2025 releases, the theory has been Hasbro has changed factories. If that is true, I hope these figures aren't a preview of what to expect in terms of quality. There has been quite a few QC issues with this set. Not to mention the Ken doll portraits are so weird looking. I hate it, because I truly love the Classified line, and I don't want anything to hurt the line.

Yeah, the Dragonfly is amazing but the figures have some rough spots.

Overall, especially for the price of the whole set, this NF ripcord looks a tad disappointing. The head sculpt is decent, but looks like it's made of that cheaper, flexible, rubbery plastic some of the old knock-off toys in the 80s were made of. It's also too bad they didn't give Ripcord his own unique loadout and those stress marks on his pack are unacceptable. His tampos look good and his web gear pops off the black. For such a huge toy co., worth what they're worth, they really need to improve the quality of this line and bring back that old neck joint. Great review though because you point out the good, the bad, and the ugly.
