GI Joe Classified Zarana Review by Hasbro

In this video I review the GI Joe Classified Zarana by Hasbro. I also compare her to the original O-Ring and see if they did her justice. I’ll go over the articulation, paint, weapons and overall look.

Thank you. That was actually the reason I started doing it when I started collecting Classified. I didn’t see anyone comparing them to the O-Rings. Now they are even closer to their design so all the more reason to do it. Hope you stick around for more 💪🏼

Funny enough, in the comics everyone had a hard time remembering Zandar too. I always thought that thing on her original backpack was some type of explosive.

So I don’t remember the DREADNOKS having their own logo during the O-Ring days. Her card says “Zarana the Enemy”. Where all other cobra’s have the cobra logo 🤷🏻‍♂️

I love your review, as always. I'm glad you had a great experience, I on the other hand did not. I just posted my user review on Amazon. It's not a great review. Here's what I posted: ********************************** . . . . . . I am VERY disappointed with this figure. I was looking so forward to this figure for almost a year, since pre-orders were opened. I had been wanting DESPERATELY for a Zaranna figure to go with my Zartan figure. I ALWAYS liked the Dreadnoks in the G.I. Joe figure line and cartoon series. The characterizations, and the look . . . they ALWAYS stood apart from all the figures, both Cobra AND the Joe's. Sadly, this Zaranna figure stands apart from all previous Classified figures, in a BAD WAY. No, a TERRIBLE way. I had watched all the early reviews from all the KZbin reviewers who somehow got the figure two weeks early, and all of them commented on how people were getting this figure, and the left arm was notorious for falling apart as people were getting her out of that ridiculous plastic molded packaging that has long been a Bane of my figure collecting existence. Today, I found out just why . . . THIS FIGURE IS SO CHEAPLY MADE, it's ridiculous. There has been a problem in the past with Hasbro on this situation. I have spent good money on Marvel Legends figures that had stupidly cheap rubbery legs, or knee joints. THIS Zaranna addition to the Classified line is not the worst offender, but I feel that $25 dollars should get AT LEAST the quality of the previous figures in the line. The rubbery material has affected the quality of Zaranna, and for such an anticipated figure, I feel this is such a travesty that I'm sitting here FUMING. Overreacting, you might say? Listen, I pulled that figure out of the stupid plastic inner cradle, and thought, "okay, the arm didn't come loose". But after that, I went to PRY the backpack out, and had to do it it with such force, that it flew across the room, and I had to move an entire furniture set to get it back. Not a great START. Then as I started to fiddle with the figures elbow articulation, I realized that the joints were extremely stiff. As I struggled to get the left arm and elbow loosened up, the arm popped off of the shoulder joint from the bicep. All from just folding the arm at the elbow. I popped it back on so easy, that I went to merely tug at it, and it popped off with the slightest tug. The damn peg is so gummy, you'd have thought that I had left the figure in the car during summer and went to move the arm, and the bicep came off by trying to just move the arm a little. This figure is the first Classified offender made with cheap, rubbery plastic. It's so soft, you FEEL it at the touch. And it's so much rubberier than previous Marvel Legend offenders like the recent Sharon Carter Shadowbroker figure, or the Hellfire Club set Black Queen (Jean Grey) figure. Both had the worst rubbery leg situation, and can't stand for even a short amount of time, EVEN WITH a figure stand. The shoulders, and the armor at the shoulder joints are just as rubbery, and the other issues with the plastic are also with the legs, as well as the drop down hip joints. The joints are tight, and in combination with the loose hip joints, you can hold the figure up at the waist, and the hip joints just 'drop'. You move the hip joints, and they just drop all over the place. They're as loose as a life-size science class skeleton model. Hasbro has just flipped us loyal fans the first "bird" with this figure, in return for our loyalty, and it won't be the last time, based on their track record. I ordered TWO of these, because I was so sure that down the line, Zaranna would be the most sought after figure like her 3.5 scale SDCC 25th anniversary line counterpart was in the last decade. The second quantity figure I bought with this one that I opened, isn't gonna be worth squat. It's a stain on my conscience and it'll be like all those Jyn Erso figures that Hasbro made, where a couple of years after release, they'll be marked down to $11. The worst thing is that now I'm worried about that Cover Girl Courtney Krieger figure that I ordered another 2 quantity of, that's scheduled for April 2023. I'm giving serious consideration to canceling that second figure quantity. ********************************** I'll be surprised if it posts. Amazon has been sketchy about passing and approving my reviews, lately. Even if they're a positive review.

Let me first say thank you for the compliment, I do appreciate it. Second, that’s was a lot to post, but I do understand. I have seen the issues all over social media, so I know they’re true. Even tho it didn’t happen to me, hopefully it’s an issue like the Valaverse Scarab I had with the leg coming off and Hasbro rectifies this for you and everyone else that’s had the issue. All I can say is that when you do have issues like this the best thing to do is post your review, post pics and even make a video showing the issue and your frustration. Sadly companies like Hasbro only understand one thing, the $. This is what will hit them and make them change. You did the right thing by posting a review with the issue you had. Hopefully this gets taken care of for you.

@@Apunkwithtoys Thanks for the positive fan-feedback. Yeah, I posted pics, no video though. I figured my consumer report would help folks to understand the risk with this purchase, so that they could decide to go ahead with the purchase, with the understanding that it does come with drawbacks. I can always return the figure to amazon for a new one. After a day of thought, I'm gonna try to adjust the shoulder peg to "grip" the bicep better. Hopefully it will work with some joint fix. If in the end, I can bend "crunch" the elbow joint without it popping out, and she can stand with her rubbery legs, I will consider keeping it. I'll follow up with the results on the elbow. 👍

@@Apunkwithtoys The joint fix worked. I figure (no pun intended) super glue would work as well. I just applied a bit of joint fix to the rim of the elbow joint, and when it dried overnight, I warmed up the bicep in hot water, and connected it. I let that cool for about 30 minutes and it won't come off at a slight touch, and it let's me crunch the elbow "aggressively", without coming off. 👍

Yep that’s what it is. It’s a little small, but nothing you’re gonna look at and be like “is that a clown bike”. I think it was like $10 at Target about 2 years ago.

Got mine Wednesday from pulse and out of the package the arm fell out of socket at the swivel. ( Hot water fix! ) When swapping out hair careful her sideburns

@@falcon048 I really don't know but what I do remember was after I put the arm back in place I just put her up until the next day and when I took her out again she was solid in the arm... Idk I suppose lucky or just leaving her for a bit.
