When he's waving it around at the end of the video I think you can really tell the Missiles are undersized..The wheels looks huge compared to them proportionally. If 12" is to big and 9" is to small I guess 10.5" is the compromise size.

The wheels are the same as the Vamp so maybe they are a little big, but you have to remember this is a toy. GI Joe has never been just a scaled down version of the real thing. Admittedly I didn’t have time to really play around with it, but the missiles are already big.

@@Apunkwithtoys I suppose one could crunch the numbers with some calipers and a bit of Math but I think the wheels are not huge in comparison to the missiles, so much as the missiles are small in proportion to the trailer so makes the wheels the dominant feature. I guess I can look at i as 40 years of Miniaturization in Rapier like Missile systems. I think part of the reason the wheels also look large is the Vamps wheels look large too compared to the original toy, and also the wheels on the trailer are bigger than the trailing wheels visible on the Hiss Tank. So it likely is a trick of the eye to some extent. That isn't my complaint with it really.. the only issue I have with it is the support legs don't fold back as far as on the original so they get in the way more than they do on the original toy. It is clever of Hasbro though to make something that isn't just suited to the Hiss Tank alone though. Now roll on modern version of the Sears Giftset 2 Pack 🙂of vamp repaint & Missile system. Though I suspect people would look at Hasbro funny if they at the very least didn't change the colour of the missiles to grey or something to make it distinct. I'm mostly just kidding I doubt they do a Black Vamp repaint as well as the Stinger even if there was one 4 decades ago.

When doing a vehicle review do you think you can do a section showing how many figures you can fit on a vehicle? And/or a diorama scene with a bunch of figures interacting with it. A lot of reviewers mention it but very few actually show it. THX.

A hydraulic hammer or jackhammer is a pioneer tool assaulter use to do things like breaching stone to lay demo chargers. But as a mechanic he would probably use it to bang out the track pads on the HISS every 400 miles and switch them for new ones.

I really prefer flexible parts like tools and guns, I can't count how many of my dad's toys I broke when I was a kid, I'm much more comfortable knowing I'm not going to accidentally snap anything now

does the missle turret fit on the vamp where the machine gun goes? i have a sinking suspicion to save on tooling they might reuse that turret on a stinger if they do one....itd be a great way to save on tooling.

I pretty much agree on the price point. I can see it at $65 because of more plastic than the RAM or Bubble, but it's also all hollow. $75 was too much for this. If it HAD'VE came with the HISS the way it was originally conceived, do you think they would've tried to charge $400 for it all?

I wonder if I can find some sort of grooved rubber I could cut to fill in the feet - I think that would look nice when in transport mode. Oh one little warning - don't apply excessive heat to the tires to swap them they can distort and warp. warm *and I mean warm not hot) water should be OK to make the tires pliable enough to swap with out distorting the tires..

If you’re only gonna order one, and you are fond of having as many of the OG stuff in 6inch form as possible, wait and get that one. I like this and the Techno-Viper, but I wouldn’t have been upset if they showed this as a prototype and we didn’t get it. If that makes sense

They could have at least made the rims black on HMS instead of green 🙄 whatever …..mine should be here in the next few days the more I see of it the more I feel like it was definitely $10-$15 overpriced with tax and shipping it came to $88!! I see why it hasn’t sold out……although once the stinger is out I can see people wanting to go back and get this I have heard some complaints that if you don’t have the hiss you don’t have anything to hook it up too. I’m sure by the end of the year we will have the repaint of this for the vamp and the stinger (at least up for pre-order)

A little overpriced, but I’m not really that mad at them. I think the whole package could’ve been $65. There’s a lot of other brands that are overpriced on the regular out there . I feel like Hasbro only does it every now and then on the brand new mold type stuff, so hopefully the G.I. Joe version is only $65 now that they have the mold all paid for

I'm surprised we haven't seen any sets to compliment the Dragonfly yet. We saw this and the Fire Team around 5-6 months before the Hiss hit. We're just inside that time frame for the Dragonfly

I can relax, the Techno Viper doesn’t like Grimace at a Rave anymore! I love this version! But I’m actually like a casual collector sometimes with these toys. My biggest issue is shelf unit space when it comes to the trailer towables, I gotta make a choice which MNS system I want over the other. And I really feel like I gotta go with the Joe’s version when it comes out. (I can get the vamp way easier than a Hiss! ). But this video was really helpful for a friend of mine who really benefits from an assembly video that he can pause and zoom in on. Sharing

You can definitely get a vamp easier than a Hiss but I don’t think we’ll have a problem getting a stinger at all when they hit.

They should have made these wheels removable. Like that you can put them back in the box. There the box can be storage and not end up in the garbage. This should be done to all toys.

So there are many people that reviewed the Vamp that said you can just pop off the wheels with no issues. These are the same wheels so I would assume they pop off with ease too.

it seems awefully plain for the price. Also I don't get the need to include a figure with every vehicle. I got almost a hundred figures that I want things for them to interact with. these vehicles/mini playsets used to be as cheap as possible for us to buy and use with all the figures we already have. the only non haslab vehicle that i actually want a figure for is the ferret cause it comes with that cool female figure. a figure id willing pay for separately so I could have a small squad of affordable ferrets for my cobra troopers without 4 or 6 female figures i don't need.
