I remember this show with these PSAs as a little kid, and others like it such as JEM, He-Man, and She-Ra, watching with my fraternal twin brother in the ‘80s, before going out to play. We took the lessons to heart. I wish that the ones on team work had been viewed by my brother’s stupid teammates who were notoriously awful towards anyone on their own team for making a mistake, or by the other dancers in my dance classes being hateful when one of us made a mistake.

For very important and special matters what makes the very popular G.I. Joe A Real American Hero stand out and hold up above the other G.I. Joe cartoon shows is not just so much everything but even better is the PSAS of safety about rules and lessons that teach young kids and teenagers to do good things and keep them safe at all times. Whenever the Joe heroes show up they help and teach young kids rules and lessons to do things the right and safe way. Not only do people see the heroic Joes as heroes but young kids see the heroic Joes as heroes as well.

detsportsfan18 the stranger danger one isn’t since it ignores that most abductions are committed by a trusted adult, and they drew the abductor like a stereotypical creepy gay guy. The running away one also doesn't account for the fact that a lot of kids run away to escape abuse

There are still kid's shows today that teach moral lessons. Only now they're usually worked into the plot of the episode because a common criticism of end-of-episode PSAs is that they met the bare minimal of what could constitute as educational content which allowed writers to make stories completely unrelated to the lesson.
@canaisyoung3601 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, cuz no one would learn anything. The kids would scream "Stranger danger!" and the parents would have the Joes arrested for stalking and harassing their children.
