Spettacolare rappresentazione dell'opera Turandot del grande Puccini. Meravigliosa scenografia; bellissimi e coloratissimi i costumi. Il tenore che interpreta Calaf ha una voce chiara e possente. Bravissimi anche tutti gli altri.

Az biztos , hogy nem egy átlagos Turandot előadás volt. Nekem tetszett a szokatlanul színes színpadkép ,a mellékszereplők mozgatása és természetesen az énekesek hangja . Ilyen látványosan kellene minden színpadi művet megrendezni.

Hi! I've just seen your message and I'm going to answer it (yes, two years later...). First of all, Nicola Martinucci didn't "crack" (for the "vincero" for example), he has a "gob" (sorry, I don't know a best word, I'm French!). Moreover, the note is a bit special (look at the lips!) because it's for him the only way to avoid a crack. He knows that he must crack if the note is normally sung. How does he know it? There's already a gob just before the 3 "vincero". These are the reasons why the "vincero" isn't the best one sung by Martinucci. But there's a more important reason, Martinucci wasn't the tenor planned for the role of Calaf , that was Viktor Lutsiuk, a tenor I don't like hearing (in my opinion of course!). There's a Mazeppa with Gergiev and this tenor, Lutsiuk, on KZbin if you don't know him. It was a remplacement so! And, Martinucci had therefore not much time to learn the staging, the ideas of the conductor... We can understand that Martinucci was a bit stressed for this performance, don't we? So, because of these things, Martinucci, one of the best tenor for "Turandot" in the world, didn't sing the best Calaf of his career. OH, there's also an important point : he is old in this video!
