I took piano lessons for 14 years now and I can proudly say that I graduated in piano. It took a while but it was definitely worth the efforts. I now play every song beautifully that I want to learn. Give me a song to play and I'll learn it in a few hours. Maybe weeks if it's very difficult or maybe minutes if it's easy. I've also done many concerts and have performed in marriages and bars. At first it was very stressfull but now I'm used to it and don't feel stressed anymore at all. A lot of my friends told me that I should do it full time because it actually pays very well but I want to chase my dreams into becoming an electrical engineer... yes I'm asian if you guessed it. Yes I also play chess...

I've been playing for a little over 2 years now, and yesterday I was at a hotel for a party and in the lobby there was a piano, my friends kept pushing me to play it so I eventually did. I doubted my playing thinking it wasn't good enough for people to hear but once I started playing I couldn't stop, and when I was finished 2 total strangers came up to me and gave me money, that was one of the greatest moments ever for me as a pianist, to have complete strangers recognize your talent is a feeling I can hardly describe. So I will continue to play and develop my skills so I can do better every new time my hands touch the keys.

I’m using RCM text books and doing level 7. - I did play Fur Elise and Turkish March. But nothing like that. Maybe I should try again.. 😅😊

I have played piano casually for 8 years and I can barely play to the level of his 5 years, trust me guys, I was self taught, and never learnt to read music, however, rather than being a thing to brag about, it is something to regret. If I could go back to the start, I would have learnt properly, and where I am now would have been accomplished in 3 years, and I would be able to read music, and do proper fingerwork rather than the sloppy mess I am on piano now.

Oooof, I’m a decade+ long bassist who just bought a keytar, meaning I just started learning keyboard more seriously than single finger picking at twinkle twinkle little star. I’ve got some theory from bass and have caught on surprisingly quick, but oooooh nelly things get hard fast! The more theory you already know, the more advanced you are in general which means the more to work on, basics included! Learning a new instrument is SO hard and SO rewarding at the same time! I love it, one day I’ll be as good as you, just not today ahahaha

It's actually a flute that is the basis of all music. Lemme give you an example, you are saying that the humans came from apes, but because fishes came first, then tortoise....and so on and so on and when console evolution reached its peak, humans came. In the same way, here, apes are piano and the flute is a fish. And flutes were first found in India, and then in China, and so on and so on, it reached to the end of the world today!
