Super Mario sucked as he had ugly cap. Giana had coolest hairstyle ever. And if you want childhood memories, ..... just go through available lists of games where Chris Huelsbeck made music for. And that's only partial lists as we don't remember many games his music pushed from being very good to utter greatness. You can also sometimes "meet" Chris on YT, and he will reply. And from comments, you can literally smell the good emotion he has that even after 30 years, we still recognize and appreciate his tremendous talent.

100MPX photo with 8-bit color depth has 100,000,000 bytes of data. Roughly 100,000,000 kids had experienced Giana Sisters on C64 and will never forget some 2,000 bytes of this remarkable soundtrack. That's how ingenious Chris Huelsbeck and tons of programmers, graphics designers and music composers were back then, creating so much quality with such limited resources.

@@BenGras Yes, I know, I am not saying The Great Giana Sisters is a bad game on it's own, it's entertaining to play, it's the fact that it's basically a rip-off and/or reskin of Super Mario Bros and this can cause the following issues: -It doesn't make most people who already played Super Mario Bros want to play this game due to the lack of differences. -It can ruin the experience for people who played this game, since it's likely that said people wouldn't want to play Super Mario Bros because of the reasons mentioned above. As I said, I am not saying it's a bad game, but it could've had something different in the game mechanics, at least one thing to differentiate it from Super Mario Bros in gameplay and offer a different experience besides characters, plot, music, platform, etc.

@Milkymalk6 жыл бұрын
Originally "Gianna", the game box had a typo which carried over to later releases. The in-game scoll text made from the game graphics spells it with two N. The name "Gianna" is also more common than "Giana". As more people had this game as a copy without the box (as the game was removed from sale after pressure from Nintendo), I find it strange that the name on the box dominates.
