Bought mine a couple of months ago. Took a few days to train the eyes to adapt to it. Next a special shelf was bought which turned out to be too tall. Its ok nonetheless. During the evening you almost feel like you are in front of an 86 inch TV. The further you go the the more striking the effect of using it becomes. The lights were put in front of it. That way it creates an immensely powerful light display. It does not hurt the eyes. Using it for well over 18 hours to experiment its maximum potential has so far not produced any negative effects. The scariest part is its rarity. This is a super rare monitor now. And that means avoiding to touch it other than to remove dust with cotton. It is used for drawing portraits and for watching the newest games. Turning off the computer, you can now use it to turn your living room into a home theater system. Thank you for your video! Warm regards from Ásgeir in Iceland.

@visingh4 жыл бұрын
@@Steffen575 Great choice! I'm curious about the setup you have, did you place it on your desk like any other PC monitor at an arm's length distance? If you did, does the 48" size bother you in any way like having to turn your head around to look at the corners etc?
@Steffen5754 жыл бұрын
@@visingh My LG is mounted on a Ergotron HX Desk Mount. This way I can adjust the height and can pull it towards me for playing racing games or swing to the left so it is directed towards my couch for watching movies and gaming on PlayStation. In desk position it is at around 1 1/2 arm's length and yes you'll maybe find yourself turning your head a bit. But apart from movies and games, I wouldn't recommend to put any program that would fit on a 24" screen into fullscreen mode as you would have to move your mouse a long way for every action. Full height (e.g. 1920x2160) is okay (great for viewing word documents or excel sheets) and if you use programs like photoshop the extended workspace will most likely be welcomed anyway. And with using smaller windows I've found myself to put all the content in a kind of circle around the middle of the screen, so I don't have to turn my head a lot. For a lot of programs the useful content can still be seen when they overlap a bit.

You would be better off. Trust me, I bought this panel and it isn’t anything it’s cracked up to be. Half the specs are exaggerated by work arounds to make it work. 120hz overclock to 144hz emulated also getting the frame rate on a single 2080ti in HDR1000 or 4K 144hz is impossible. You actually need two in SLI to gain that performance. I’m returning my panel for refund and waiting on the new models to finally hit US shores. Everything is months delayed now and it’s antagonizing knowing things are coming but no word on when. Also I’m waiting on the 3080ti to hit and go Titan so I can avoid any performance holes that seem to always pop up when new tech comes out.

Product with a n3 rank would be a bang-for-the-buck product. Product with a n5 rank would be a high end product, without minding the price tag, just being the best currently on the market. All I want is a gaming screen that doesn’t have ANY motion blur, is this too much to ask? And it should be 32” or bigger and not these silly ultrawide form factors. It is the year 2020 and we still fight to have better motion handling than what old big fat CRT used to have. What’s the point of seeing 240 frames a second when your display is still full of blurry things... ELMB is probably half way OK, except for the dimming and other artifacting. You would think by now, not having motion blur would be standard, instead it is considered a feature, and it’s not even fully blur free.
@MacroEnabled4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the pixel response time is so bad (like 6-8+ ms). It's barely done transitioning by the time the next frame comes around. I have a better time using a 60Hz display with 1ms response time.
@janwichta17553 жыл бұрын
Umm, screen that doesn't have blur??? Screens do not have blur unless there is some post processing enabled. I have 60Hz with 8ms response and it's perfect. One frame @ 60Hz takes about 16ms... so my pixels can go from grey to grey twice within a frame... more than enough. The reason why motion feels more natural on CRT screens is because the signal is interlaced. Meaning that odd and even lines are alternating rather that the full screen refreshing at once. This makes the motion much smoother than progressive scan. But yeah, if the refresh rate is too fast for the pixel response, it can create a mess. Bearing in mind that the frame time @ 144 HZ is 0.7ms, and @ 120Hz 0.8, it's better to stick to 60Hz :)

Extra height absolutely helpos with productivity. Classic layout of 1 tall ass browser and two terminal windows or IDE and small browser and app running. If anything i'd love to see 16:10 version of that! That being said the display isn't all that big once you work on it a bit. It benefits greatly from a mount that can bring it low to the desk. But it weighs quite a bit so be carefull choosing the mount. 14 zones isn't that great but the brightness and contrast are pretty great. No weird pixel driving schemes like on philips momentum. But the layout is BGR so you need to adjust cleartype. It is a pretty neat productivity display with 120hz smoothness to it. But the blur might give games some pause. For me for work it's brilliant and for netflix with HDR awesomenes.
