It sounds like a bee when it's taxiing! Vintage planes are amazing. Like you, I fly all sorts of planes but it s good to fly vintage sometimes too. Huge wing area for the weight means they are slow and graceful. Originally these vintage planes would have been free-flight (no R/C), or maybe just rudder-only for the rich, flown in calm conditions. They all tend to have short noses as the petrol engines were heavy. Even though your's is electric you still get a sense of how they looked in the air many decades ago. Lovely.

Lazy bee! My first plane, when I was two years old my dad bought me a cox lazy bee (foam airframe with .049 nitro engine, 2 channel! Elevator and rudder only) my grandpa taught me how to fly with that airplane. I flew it for many many years! As I got older I always wanted another one. But of course they were discontinued for a long time and extremely hard to find. 10 years go by I found one at a swap shop brand new in the box. So I bought it paid way too much money for it but I had to have it! I told myself when I have a kid I’m gonna teach my kid to fly on the same airplane and I learned to fly on. I’m almost 30 now and building the Cox lazy bee for my daughter. Making it electric now! I have the plans that i blew up to 98in to build very soon! Great flight and video.

This is something! I've been meaning to write something in here for a while: I think it's great what you're doing. You r testing and flying planes the way most people would approach it. Not too much technical stuff, just the basics and that's it. In the end we all want just fly stuff, nothing else! I've been flying everything you can get into the air, acros, biplanes, oldies, small and big helicopter, jets, gliders, hotliner for about 35 years and what can I say, every now and then, when I want to get something new, I actually look at your channel to see if you've already had it in your fingers. And I often find what I'm looking for. Captain Blaž is cult, love u both! Keep it up, have fun, your humour is great and I like this accent. Stay healthy and keep on rocking!

You said that so beautiful my friend. Thanks. We really want to keep this channel simple that anybody can understand. And to get as many viewers as possible to try this amazing hobby. I cant imagine better one. And we will try as many as possible like we say. I love every plane that I tested by now. And its great that I share this passion with my brother Blaž. And him as balsa and glow lover we cover almoust all. Oh yeah. Thanks again for all support and always feel at home here.

Another great video to go with my morning coffee! Don't worry about age too much with balsa airplanes; I have one I built in 1987 and I still fly it. I don't go easy on it either. Balsa and Titebond really last, and the MonoKote is original too. Andy Clancy Designs is making Lazy Bee kits again, but they don't make a kit for one this big. Not yet, anyway. Big salute from Arizona, USA!

Love the lazy Bee; I build one from scratch and it's all about using the rudder! I noticed the amount of weight below the motor in the front, it's because it is designed for an IC engine and it does mean you have to be very careful not to make it tail heavy. Great to see it in the air.

The Lazy Bee is OUTSTANDING!! SALUTE LAZY BEE!! OH it has ailerons. That is not normally on the Lazy Bee very sexy!. Lazy Bee can fly off of snow and water if you have pontoons. Lazy Bee can be made with no motor at all as flown as a glider. There was even a Jet Bee that was a Lazy Bee wing swept back and only a verticle tail. Looked like Me 163 Comet from a cartoon. PLEASE FLY IT AGAIN FOR THE VEIWERS! All the the Lazy Bees the little one and the Queen size and this beauty. Even the tiny one will bring big smiles! YUP!! YES Stagger Bee. and Speedy Bee is like a Slo Poke there was also a Yard Bee. Clancy Aviation is the maker of the kits.

Warm thanks to Mr & Mrs Reinholt and to Hubert for helping to make this possible. I remember the first time that I saw a lazy bee. It was over 20 yrs. ago and it was powered by a OS 20 FP. (I think??) It was rudder and elevator only and it was very aerobatic! The guys that were flying these were the ones who had been flying large gas powered planes earlier in the day. They would pull these out late in the evening and sit on hay bales and fly these until dark! Those were good times!! You guys have a great day! I look forward to your next video! Jeff C.

It will turn a lot better with the ailerons if you offset the servo arms one notch from center so that the ailerons go up more than they go down. Of course, you'll have to change the length of the pushrods afterwards so that they are centered. I prefer to add differential mechanically rather than in the transmitter. Doing it in the transmitter requires two channels, plus it does it by decreasing the servo throw in the down direction which decreases the resolution and accuracy of the radio. Also, the rudder can't turn the plane because the wing doesn't have any dihedral..
