This is how an alien invasion would actually play out. One alien power would form an alliance with one human power, while the same happened on the other side. Then they would fight alongside their newfound allies, just like with the European conquest of America.

The aliens would send us a message to comply with their terms, and if we don't, they could send a few asteroids into our major cities until we agree to their demands. They wouldn't need to put themselves at risk or even set foot on our planet until we were defeated. Any space-faring race can easily calculate the trajectory and nudge asteroids from the local belt into our planet. No non-space-faring race would stand a chance against such an attack.

@@philosotree5876 that would be any space fairing aliens who want to subjugate us by force and aren't dumb. There is no reason to waste resources or risk their lives doing any actual fighting.

War of the worlds (2005) is one of my favourite films ever. I’m obsessed with the concept overall and a big fan of the book. Great job!

The 1953 version was a better movie than Spielberg s version.....you should watch that one....The War of the Worlds.....movie was nominated for special effects....and had the actual battle between the Marines and the invaders fighting each other....not over some hill where we could not see.

If the Martian fighting machines were based on the book rather than the film, three Tripods would be no problem for the Germans. The book Tripods do not have shielding of any kind.

I have a theory on why the other tripods shoot the downed tripod, what if they do it because they want to destroy as much of the tripod as possible to stop the Germans from reverse engineering them and producing their own. Just a theory A GAME THEORY!

How are you putting these cool battles together? Map editor? I used to do these sandboxy battles with older RTS's like galactic battlegrounds with its map editor. TIs a good time waster for me

He is most likely using a editor such as the gem editor for men of war I'm not exactly sure what the name of this specific editor is, but when you launch the game on steam and gives you options I would click on the editor. Btw the editor may not be user friendly.

I feel like the aliens would not be that friendly, the whole reason they invaded earth was because they needed to expand their species and as a last hope for survival. i just dont see them working with united states military, instead i feel like humanity would work together.
