Amazing job, as always. Interesting that they asked you to do it straight, rather than try to recreate the creases and bulbousness of the inflatable.

I think the only reason it was a balloon in the first place, was possibly because it needed to be manageable to get into the small space to begin with, and light enough to hang from the ceiling. So probably didn't want to creases full stop. Fortunately, we were able to accommodate for both of these outcomes in fibreglass anyway. Maybe they also wanted to move away from the cheapness feel of the balloon (even though it no doubt cost a bit to have one custom created in the first place), but perhaps just feels more high end having it now solid in glass fibre. Hope you're well Bobby old chap. What's the weather like back home?

I'm curious how this was attached to the ceiling. I love everything you do.
@AdenHynesSculptureStudiosАй бұрын
Hey Shamrock, we installed a metalwork frame in the bottom, which you can see at 10:35 in the video. This came with eyelets attached, so that they could hang it from the ceiling. Thanks for watching!

I'd love to have you explain how you synchronize the hot wire cutting from both sides of a block. I can see that you have the design drawn on both sides, but how do the two people make sure that they're cutting at the same speed, tracing out the design equally, step by step, on both sides at the same time?
@AdenHynesSculptureStudios29 күн бұрын
@@RogerGarrett step by step is exactly it. We often add dots or markers along the cut line on the tracing. So that we replicate the same points on the other side when we draw. Knowing we're hitting the same points at the same time either side (whilst also allowing for any drag of the wire at the same time)

@@AdenHynesSculptureStudios I figured it had to be something like that. But I think it would be something interesting to see you explain and demonstrate how that's done in an upcoming video. :)
