I love that the greatest possible tribute to the guy was actually posted years before he died.

There is a profound strangeness to the existence of people, events, and institutions of significant yet low-key remarkability. A mashup of rap music, a deer in a luchador mask, and a dancing penguin man should not, under any circumstance, have this much emotional resonance, and speak to this much of a cultural touchstone. And yet, here we are.
@gordonwiley200611 күн бұрын
Everything is complicated. The world is enormous, and full of billions of events, that are all happening at once, and every single one of them contributes to a larger whole. I've recently found myself very startled at the fact that I am a part of this system of moving parts that no single piece can percieve the outcome of. But I'm glad I can still find joy in the frivolous, I'm glad I can find solace in old jokes made by people who showed me how stupid adulthood will be. But most importantly, I am happy to remember that one image of will smith where it looks like he came because it's really funny.

Executable not eczecutbal. Thank you, Ryan. Thank you for all that you have done. Your podcast and site has saved me from the torment of middle school and high school. Without you there would be no me. It seems oddly poetic that I prescribe my survival to this man only to see his demise happen the day upon the podcast release and the day my Steam account turned another year older. These things allowed me to escape from my life for a little while, they allowed me to live in it for longer

Never have I been so affected by a man I never have, nor will ever meet in person. Completely shocked and saddened to hear the news.
