AWWWWW. Reminds me of my childhood and our beloved Great Dane, Patches. She was a Harlequin as well and was such a sweet and gentle soul. We received her when she was about 3 years old from an elderly woman who could no longer care for her. Sometimes she would forget that she weighed over 200 pounds and liked nothing more than to sit on us kids and gives us the yuckiest, most slobber-filled kisses. She also had a fondness for cats, especially kittens. When our Siamese cat Gretta had a litter of kittens, Patches would literally abduct them one by one and carry them off to her giant doggy bed, doting over them all the while, like the good surrogate mom that she was. My mother was afraid that she was going to accidently squish them, but she never did. As the kittens got older, Gretta would bring them to Patches so that she could get a most needed break from the rambunctious little hellions. Sadly, Patches suffered from hip dysplasia and an enlarged heart, so at the advanced age of 11, my parents had her humanely put down. That was the worst day of my young life up until that point. 😥

One of my co-workers has 2 Kane Corso. She is 4" 11" her dogs are as tall as she is...and her dogs could double as ridable mounts. But her pups are as docile as kittens. You give them love they will melt into your hand
