GIANT FILIPINO FAMILY TRIP! Travel to Bohol from Cagayan de Oro

I TOOK THE ENTIRE FILIPINO FAMILY COMPOUND FROM CAGAYAN DE ORO TO BOHOL!
I lived with the Factura family for more than 3 years. I always heard stories of their family trip to Boracay... and though it would be amazing to do a trip together somewhere in the Philippines. Finally, that day has come! It is such an awesome feeling getting all together in a jeepney, and heading down to the ferry port in Cagayan de Oro. We are going to Bohol!!
This is our travel day as a family group to Bohol. After arriving, we explore churches, eat at a local restaurant and end up at our resort in Panglao.

I really enjoyed seeing Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church there in Bohol. One of the churches here in my hometown just celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel this past weekend. It has been celebrated for 95 years now. I know that's nothing compared to how long so many of the churches there in the Philippines have been holding their fiestas, but this celebration is significant to me because my grandfather, who came from Italy, was one of the founders of the celebration here in my hometown.🙏 (You share so much of life in the Philippines that I wanted to share a little something of my life here and how we can have experiences in common with those in the Philippines, wherever we live.)

That's how I grew up in the San Francisco California bay area back in the 1960's. They didn't have that many Filipinos here. Alot of Filipinos back then worked on Chevron oil tankers. We were are family. We called the adults our Anties & Uncles and all the kids said we were cousin's . Are families did everything together. Filipinos are family oriented. We are all still family ! Enjoy your Filipino family. Looks like you all are enjoying your family trip. You are so blessed to have a Filipino family like I am. ❤ power on Kulas !
