Thanks for posting you're work. I am fresh out of welding school and am having trouble getting hired on as a structural welder. This looks like fun! I think you mentioned Bolle sunglasses on another video, Ive had some in the past but they weren't polarized. I will look into them

What voltage/ wire speed you running on those verticals just curious

videos are good man i cant fault them, yeah on my welding rods we use it says "not to be exported into the US" hahaha our welding worlds have so many diffrent specs its a joke ! lol

Love the videos, but I do have a question. Are you changing your heat on each position or do you weld all you can of overhead and flat then change your heat for vertical. Or do you weld everything with the same voltage and just weave as you go up? Only been welding in a shop for a year, haven't done much overhead yet. Keep up the good work though!
@TheOfficialMelendez3 жыл бұрын
Easier way starting out is recognizing the settings for flat and vertical Flat runs hottest and is the same setting as horizontal and overhead Vertical runs the coldest so the trick is getting use to vertical and you can run the vertical setting on all positions It’s just not preferred you weld slower Weld size is wire diameter Penetration is polarity Voltage is heat amps is heat Wfs is Wfs

@@TheOfficialMelendez lol I appreciate the answer. A bit late there homie. I’m now journeyman status at my job, but I’ll leave the question up for future green hands.

nice video dude, when you're running the vertical stringers are you moving to left or right or just going straight up?
@Slagithor90008 жыл бұрын
You can run them straight up. I wiggle a tiny bit from side to side.
