Suppose randomly, they get new neighbors or they moved. Their new neighbors overheard the barking next-door. If they were not animal lovers, friendly or didn’t understand each dog expresses themselves differently. Those were joyful happy barks. Not threatening or scary. Beautiful animals 😍. That is one of the most beautiful things to see, dogs ( or other devoted pets) being reunited with family members after an absence ( sometimes just a day) as my dogs used to do when i came home after work or school. Had the same with my German Shepherd when I had to leave him for several months. When I came back the dog was so excited that he ran away and hid for two or three minutes and than he came back. Amazingly he could smell my arrival because he was almost very excited 10 minutes before our reunion. 🙂

I love my Goldie and they’re my favorite all around breed. But, if you’re sad they’ll go find someone who isn’t lol. My girlfriends shepherd is fiercely loyal and loves you with an obsessive nature that’s just not possible for a Goldie given their gentle demeanor.
