It's a great feeling when you find someone who likes what you like, so you gladly send them every single book so they can enjoy it, too. That's a whole other level of tingles. That's like a 401K you've invested in and now you can live off of the tingle dividends. It's so helpful that you've given such an accurate description for this phenomena. I added 8 books from Audilbes 2 for 1 credit sale. It's hard to pass those up! And I also picked up The Blood Stones at the beginning of July because I just couldn't stand not getting it in the short list. It's SCIENCE! I didn't know Jakob was a science denier ;)

Also, great for Jake to buy the three Dune books. Nothing beats Dune, best science fiction books of all time (even though I somehow think, it's less of a scifi book and much rather a religious/political/psychological thriller set in a scifi universe).

Man, I know it's not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, but it annoys me so much I buy a book thinking it's one edition and then receive another. It happens to me last month when I bought the Tawny Man trilogy and book 3 was a different edition than the first 2, even though Amazon indicated that it was the same. I also bought Tigana about 3 months ago at full retail price and received a used copy. It's like you said, the words are the same, I'm going to read them but don't lie to me about what edition I'm buying! Those things matter to me, damn it! That being said, the Heroes is one of my favorite books of all time and I can't wait for you to read it!

Yeah, I really hate having mismatched editions in a series. I'm having to confront that with buying Wars of Light and Shadow, since in the first three books I've managed to have three different editions, but in the end I figure I'll be reading them eventually anyway. And maybe once I can source matching editions, I can give away the mismatched ones.

I laughed at I'm not a hoarder I'm a collector lol. Me and my wife one of our favorite shows is hoarders on A&E. Now i just got my wall unit installed in my mancave. It's the length of the whole wall. It's pretty massive. I have it full of books and my wife goes you're a hoarder. I couldn't believe i said it. Finally! Happy to see you that are reaching out to other cultures. G. Dimova's book Floul Days is based on old Bulgarian folk tales. The big disadvantage for you is that you can't enjoy so many great books published here in Europe, as most of them will never be translated to English. I’ve seen Spaced Out Wizard talk about Andy Peloquin a lot and that’s another one that feels like it’s gonnna be a fast paced riot of intensity. The heroes is my favorite of the stand alone so far-even though it doesn’t include my favorite first law character. Enjoy all the awesome books!

I actually did have a small book hall this month myself! The Cradle and Ice - James Rollins, The Thirteenth Tale - Diane Setterfield, Agincourt - Bernard Cornwell, The War Of The Flowers - Tad Williams. Most of these I grabbed because they were on clearance at my local half-price books, but still excited to dig into them. The James Rollins is book two of a new fantasy trilogy and book one wasn’t bad at all!

John. John. Seriously. Read HEROES DIE. Some of us know, and let me assure you, WE KNOW. Imagine if Abercrombie was also George Orwell in some freakish mashup of genetics. It's honestly better than you'll ever imagine until you've finished it. If you don't believe me, ask Bridger from Library Ladder. Or watch his video, it's great. Knowing your taste, HEROES DIE is *exactly* down the sweet spot that will blow your hair back and give you *all* the tingles! I promise.
