This was a rematch from an earlier bout which had been abandoned when Marty Jones accidentally knocked out the referee with a dropkick.

Couldn't wrestle his way out of a paper bag - punch, stamp, kick while hanging on to the ropes! Crap wrestler, good entertainer!

The late Mal King Kong Kirk and long dead Haystacks, Kirk later died after a match with Daddy.

On the day he died, Kirk had said to his wife that he didn't want to compete.

Several weeks after BD's splashing KKK to death, I went to see the wrestling at Southampton Civic Hall where BD was performing. As he walked to the ring, the crowd got really revved up and there were 2-3 blokes next to us who were bawling out to BD "Murderer, murderer. Murderer, murderer." BD was just a few metres away from us and could have easily set about them. It was a very strange, but memorable experience.

Actually for such a huge man, Kirk was surprisingly agile. But these overweight guys are one reason for Brit wrestling's decline.

Complete Bullshit! They were the reason for British wrestling's success. They were who people paid money to see.
@Freddie19803 жыл бұрын
@@johneastwood3039 British Wrestling took a big hit when the news reported Mal Kirk had died following a match with Big Daddy and it's never really recovered. By December the following year after Kirk's death ITV cancelled the spot for professional wrestling. The sad thing is Big Daddy copped a lot of flak for Kirk's death but it wasn't his fault, Kirk was 50+ and morbidly obese and had several heart attacks prior to the one that killed him which were never diagnosed and he continued to wrestle. IMO the only think Big Daddy did wrong was maintaining kayfabe when talking to the press about what happened which I think made things worse.
