I’m from the northeast and if there’s one thing I’ve learned bow hunting my Midwest leases, it’s to stay away from that shoulder. Nice buck man 🤘🇺🇸

I just don’t understand why the camera man didn’t do his job and zoom in so we could actually enjoy that footage. Congrats on the buck!
@ChaseNationTVАй бұрын
Sorry you didn’t enjoy the footage. I’m not sure what lens Matt was running on his Sony a7, but it may have been a 35mm or 50mm without a zoom.

I’m a sucker for mass and boy he’s got it!! Congrats on a great buck . If you haven’t made a less than ideal shot you haven’t bow hunted very long!!! Great stuff !!

A touch? Way back, high and quartering too. There was no rush. Bad shot, think.

Someone’s gotta say it, so I will… the shot was NOT high. It’s center. It was quartering, yes, but very slightly. It wasn’t WAY back, it was still rib cage, albeit guts, and the deer didn’t go 100yrds before expiring. The hunter took time to talk about it with the cameraman, explained why he aimed back from that shoulder and that same hunter had to spend his night thinking about that shot over and over until the following morning. Thanks for watching…

Hey just admit you made a shot that was not that great. You guys did the right thing and backed out and he expired, but don’t play it off like I hit a touch back. A touch back would be like back of lung and piece of liver not the guts. Everyone makes bad shots that’s for sure but people will scrutinize people who do this to make money . All the guy had to say was it was a bad shot and that’s the end of it. I think that was the point of the guy in the beginning post.

Not one person a part of Chase Nation is paid to hunt. We want to clear the air and eliminate that confusion. We do this because we love to hunt, film and share our hunts. As for Mike “admitting” he made a bad shot, he did so several times on camera. When he said “a touch back” he hadn’t watched the footage back to see exactly where the arrow had hit. It moves fast and the illuminated knock can give a different perspective from the shooters line of sight and the cameras. That’s enough on this topic. Everyone is aware the shot was not perfect… we certainly did not hide that. It’s reality. So is the deer dying and being recovered.

All I'll say is this is time stamped 2 weeks ago? Archery season opens Oct 1st here in Illinois.

This hunt took place last year… we edit in the off-season and air it on our channel the following year. But yes - we did, in fact, publish the video two weeks ago…

3 things. Why rush the shot on calm deer. When i filmed the cameraman was to be silent. Cussing really, my kids watch these hunts with me. No reason.
@ChaseNationTV2 ай бұрын
We really do take feedback seriously and will make a strong effort to eliminate cussing on camera. Furthermore, I will do a better job editing to eliminate cussing from our material after reading your post. Thank you, sincerely.

Maybe you shouldn’t have stood at the shot yelling with your cameraman
@ChaseNationTV2 ай бұрын
The cameraman and hunter were mic’d up. A whisper sounds loud. What you hear isn’t how loud it sounds “out there.” The deer went 100yrds. Thanks for watching.
