Mate I really like the river videos but….. I really can’t get around the scope.
@HawkesyFishing Жыл бұрын
Its not for everyone, I enjoy using it and also enjoy fishing the rivers without it. Will be doing a mix of fishing with and without moving forwards

Thanks mate! Eildon is a tough fishery, it definitely takes some working out and time on the water but the reward is as good as it gets
@douglasjenner4066 Жыл бұрын
@@HawkesyFishing yeah it can be tough at times fishing lake eildon but it's not impossible to get a fish, hopefully some day we could wet a line together awe mate

Rippa - had a couple good session over the last couple of weeks Congrats. Been looking at doing a similar Boat camp trip, any recommendations on the best ramp to launch from and leave the car and Trailer. Thanks in Advance.
@HawkesyFishing Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, was a few donuts in between the two trips just how it looks with the timing of the edits. I've only launched at Jerusalem Creek and have left the car and trailer overnight there quite a few times without issue. Can't comment on the other ramps

Ripper fish mate, absolute horse haha. Marvelous place to visit and take in regardless of catches (ill keep saying that as i havent got one yet haha). Super effort after a few missed opportunities 👊

Thanks Lee, a big part of eildon for me is the environment and enjoying the location. Absolutely spectacular lake with some incredible fish in it as well

OMG What a cod, or should that be horse, absolute monster. Well worth freezing your butt off up there, but not mine, will wait till it warms up before I wet a line.
@HawkesyFishing Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! I'm just trying to squeeze the last out of cod season for now. A few warmer days has got me day dreaming about fishing without 7 layers on though

Unlucky loosing those fish hooks are thick gauge running fluro there’s no need can go 1X or 2X strong. Ryuji brutals are by far best I’ve used sticky, fine gauge but personally haven’t had one budge or flex
@HawkesyFishing Жыл бұрын
I actually swapped over to the ryugis after missing a few and was running them for the fish I landed this trip. Hook up rate using them has been good on subsequent trips too

Yeah id say thats your pb makes mulwala fish look like a 90cm
@HawkesyFishing Жыл бұрын
Yeah for sure, easily my heaviest. Actually bought one of the weigh scales off the back of this fish since length doesn't really show which fish is bigger
@ryanbarassi2840 Жыл бұрын
@@HawkesyFishing yeah starting aiming for the 100lb 👊 that fella would have been high 60s
@HawkesyFishing Жыл бұрын
@ryanbarassi2840 would love to get a 100 one day but not really putting the same hours into the lakes as some others. Good to know I was in the right ball park with my estimate on this one. I thought that it was maybe 70lb but likely just short
@LionelCoombs-th2dn Жыл бұрын
Really nice fish but unfortunately it wasn't a legal capture you are are only allowed to use two hooks in freshwater in Victoria you had one rigged weedless and 2 trebles you can be fined in Victoria for fishing a lure with that many hooks . It would benice for you to admit you're mistake on your next video so no one else makes the same mistake
@HawkesyFishing Жыл бұрын
Appreciate the concern but that is incorrect. The regulations state that a lure is classed as one hook so it is a legal rig
