The weird thing is a chalk string device used in carpentry. The string that pulls out has chalk on it to mark a line.

What a cheap screw. Is that the one that came with the magnet? Or was it the eyelet? That hubcap looks like one from an old boat trailer. Sweet pair of guns and a lot of heavy scrap. How could the day have been any better?

I think the hubcap is off of an old Plymouth. Probably between 1950-55 or so.
