Was in Nazare just few days ago. The sea was pretty calm and the waves barely above 1m height. Super hard to imagine it can become that rough and intense there. A truly magnificent place. I will surely come back when the big guys are coming back. BTW: Video + Music is fantastic. Couldnt get enough of it. You did an epic job, sir.

it is a true pity that nobody and I do mean nobody tells us where it is. It IS Ft Sao Niguel Aranjo, on the Portuguese city of Nazare east side of Atlantic. From benthic to shore its 1/2 mile long coastal plains, totally avail for strong long waves from atlantic storms ^5

I watch a lot of surfing on KZbin, but there is something great about this posting in particular, and it dawned on me some of the reasons why; no hard rock and roll blaring on my ears, trying to convince me the images are more 'intense' than they actually are, and no slow motion footage. For some annoying reason 9 out of every 10 surf filming are in slow motion these days, and this has gotten very old. By the way, when McNamara learned Lucas Fink was surfing Nazaré on a skimboard without straps, he was dumbfounded, and his comment was -"next level".
